sounds to me like Dyche dished out some home truth that everybodies got to get are shit together, pull together and roll up sleeves to get this job done themselves. No magic wand coming.
Fair do's to his management of them and fair do's to the players for rolling those sleevs up. 4 wins in 5 is good going when your under the kosh.

If a team loses three or four positions in the table due to PSR, lets say lost out on £10M. Can you offset that in this year's accounts?
Or will the PL make the argurement that Everton should have forseen that PL are a bunch of corrupt fuckers!

I know where you're coming from but when you prioritise something else, bits get rusty. Passing is something that is so intrinsically engrained into football that you'd like to confidently assume they'd be able to do without thinking. I don't buy the detrained claim, but should it have had more focus than it did? Maybe, but at what cost? I see it as we improved our defence massively and pretty passing was dropped. When basic passing was failing, we went long to avoid that banana skin. I still expect, as I assume the manager did too, that passing to a team mate is footy 101, but it did suffer.

investment wise the club has done itself a massive favour this week.
most importantly we have stayed in the Premiership, we have now navigated PSR and hopefully the worst of that is behind us.
the team and fans where amazing in the derby - if other buys have stated to look at us this week in a bit more detail, then they truly witness the passion of the Everton faithful. That can't have done us any harm.
    we can only hope.

just because a team focuses on the more non possession style of football doesn't mean the coaching staff would go about somehow trying to 'detrained' the players on how to pass a ball. I am sure the will be doing all sorts passing drills. Is detraining players of a particular skill even a thing?
Possession based footballs great when you have a squad full of the worlds best players, only 5 - 6 teams are particular good at dominating the ball, the rest, it actually makes them quite vulnerable.
Possession play - sub-standard maybe, but our defensive qualities have been championship chasing quality. Pickford has second most clean sheet this season, only the top three have conceded less goals. Something solid to build from.

I would guess significantly. Branthwaithe not long signed a new contract - Given the clubs recent seasons performances, I am sure there would be relegation clauses in it. i.e we might be obliged to sell him for certain fee etc.
Just can't understand any logic of having  agreed any sort of deal in principle given the significance of the unknows going in to the transfer window.

Just attaining PL status on Saturday also has significant impact on transfer stratergy. There could be a significant change in the clubs transfer stratergy between now and 1st September. I really can't see why you would agree a deal already with such significant issues to be determined.
Also, if a fair few clubs interested in him, why do a early deal on him, surely get a bidding war going.
    I am only guessing though.

This is a bit like a parent say to a child you can be whatever you want to be - 'just dream big and it will happen'. It pretty much ignores the reality of the ability you really have or situation you are currently in. The dream is there to work towards, but lots of bulding steps have to be take to acheive it. This club is currently at the bottom step.
I don't think you will find one fan who 'enjoyed' this season or beleives just surviving relegation is a staple we should be satified with as medium to long term objective. However, there is nothing at all wrong in most fans celebrate and enjoying acheiving safety from relegation when you are in a relegation battle. It's simply living the moment.
Immediate 'success' is purely a function of the current situation you find yourself in. Having come off the back of two relegation battles, a points deduction and financial wows with regard to the playing squad, then not having to go to the last couple of games is 'relative success' when compare to relegation.
This week some fans are simply making the most of winning what has turned out to be this seasons battle, but nobody 'accepts' that any sort of war is won.
I can actually be a relatively happy fan rather than a miserable one for a few weeks at least .  People are simply enjoying the relative success of the moment we are in. I don't feel any guilt as a fan for making the most of small victories as and when they come along, or trying to taking positives where I can. Fans who make the most of a bad situation shouldn't be made out to be some sort of 'problem' or are somehow lesser fan.
Your and Haf's MO is to somehow look down on other fans who try and enjoy these fleating moments of relative success, implying some element of blame. Life's simply to short not to enjoy the little moments!!!

Absolutely, in the PL, he may want to stay here for another season if he’s happy and settled, in the championship, probably not as it’s way below his ability now.

How odd is it now that a team can consider a 2-6 points deduction hit as part of their squad building stratergy. We'll have a right good spend on the squad this year, and just take the 6 points!

nothing will be already done - becasue at anytime before the opening of the transfer window we could (most likely be or at the cusp) of a new ownership model.

Next season everything will depend on recruitment we already know Onana and Branthwaite will leave so we have to replace them with players of equal talent and retain some money as well so it will be very hard to do.
others that leave won’t be so significant probably 3 or 4.

I guess this is the part that baffles me about this point of view.
We get hit with the largest points deduction in EPL history, and yet we still secure safety with 3 games to spare and will likely finish higher than we did the previous 2 seasons.
How is that not a success?
