I am pretty sure Gana would snap up another contract if offer one. it would be fool Hardy not to have hom for at least one more year.
he has been a brilliant players for us - twice!!!

Sean Dyche has done a superb job with a toxic club, with no no one at the helm, and lumps of concrete thrown at him every 5 mins, points deduction. no money to spend, non existent board room, all taking a big pay off, and making the club more venerable. Also a bunch of players who have thrown no end of managers under the bus, he stood strong.
Well done Sean, it might not have always been pretty or easy on the eye, that will come with time and a few better players.
But a big thanks from me for the job you have done, at 70 years old they have not been relegated in my lifetime, long may it last.

That why I said worst of the PSR is behind us, rather than it being totally done and dusted.
we all know a lot more about it now, how charges are made and what sort of point deduction you may get. Most of this season has been us used as the case studies. That 10 point initial charge made against us was very destabilising. we should not be seeing anything like that again. outcomes all very much unknowns last season.

Regards PSR...we still have a charge hanging over us regards stadium interest payments and their accounting.
This one is due into next season but could result in a points deduction as it is part of this year's fiasco.
But....we've tackled bigger shits so we'll be sound 👍

investment wise the club has done itself a massive favour this week.
most importantly we have stayed in the Premiership, we have now navigated PSR and hopefully the worst of that is behind us.
the team and fans where amazing in the derby - if other buys have stated to look at us this week in a bit more detail, then they truly witness the passion of the Everton faithful. That can't have done us any harm.
    we can only hope.

PL basically saying an appeal might go their way and the next commission might decide that the original commission was too lenient in the starting number or too generous in giving some of the points back for good behaviour etc.
I doubt any more point will be taken off. but we already have a 2 point buffer now.
PL just trying to make a point.
I would be much more worried as a forest fan, as they got more back for being really nice and helpful. they have been anything other since.

just because a team focuses on the more non possession style of football doesn't mean the coaching staff would go about somehow trying to 'detrained' the players on how to pass a ball. I am sure the will be doing all sorts passing drills. Is detraining players of a particular skill even a thing?
Possession based footballs great when you have a squad full of the worlds best players, only 5 - 6 teams are particular good at dominating the ball, the rest, it actually makes them quite vulnerable.
Possession play - sub-standard maybe, but our defensive qualities have been championship chasing quality. Pickford has second most clean sheet this season, only the top three have conceded less goals. Something solid to build from.

Well, he's kept us up with games to spare despite having the equivalent of two wins and two draws taken off what we'd earned.
    That will do me.

this game had the making of a back down to earth banana skin after both the physical and mental effort from the Derby. A solid professional performance, 3 points and encouraging performance from our teenage striker and premier league status assured.
    fuck you Premier League.
just need a Qatar Wealth Fund or similar who are dripping with money to swoop in and buy us, as it would round the week off nicely.

Luton are having to push every last game now, moreso than ever, so they'll be shipping goals all over the place. We're safe, they're not going to win their remaining by 4 and we're not going to ship 4 per game for this and the next 3 games and Forest are also not going to do the same. It's between those 2 now.

Well your tone has gone from "hang him from his ginger bollocks, he's a bully, he's the worst" (paraphrasing, not looking for direct quotes) to patting him on the back for a job done after a couple of wins and saying he'll have done his job... But you're right, you're usually frustratingly stuck to your position  don't get me wrong, this version of posting is a lot more desirable!
Fair enough but that's more appealing to mercenaries, no? We've seen that enough over the last few years and that's more of a worrying proposition in my view; it's a large part of of the reason we are where we are. But we've done that part to death already.
See, I do see us needing him for another 2-3 years, unfortunately. Not because I want him to even though I think he could do more and deserves that chance. There's so much still going on which is going to take a lot longer than 12-14 months. When I've done Continuous Excellence implementations, for example, the sponsors and board understood that to change mentality whilst rolling with life's punches was a 10-20 year project. Partly due to external factors, but mostly down to staff churn - very hard to change a mindset of a group if you keep chopping and changing the mission and staff, almost impossible if you're constantly switching the team lead.

i actually think we have been playing like we did in the derby for much of the first half or even two third of the season. I think we have only really played poorly for the second half of the games in the 13 game run without a win. When 'not getting a win' was becoming a bit of bigger thing game on game.
We are not great when we have to dominate the ball against poorer teams at home, will all are in agreement that need to improve, but there is definately a foundation to work from. Even with a 6-0 drubbing the other week, only the three title chasing teams have conceding fewer goals than us. That's something that shouldn't be ignored.
3 wins in 4 and 1 defeat in 5, has us in the top 4 of the recent form table.
A endless relegation battle has not been the real reflection of this Dyche team.
