  1. I'm of the opinion that this thread has taken on a life of its own, and possesses people every now and again for its own amusement.
  2. We'll get Everton's top secret mechanical mobility unit on to it!
  3. With him and Barry in midfield we would need to buy a couple of mobility scooters. Hope it doesn't happen.
  4. Scored more goals and had more assists than ever before this season, I also believe he created the most goal scoring chances for us this season. After Christmas he was poor, but that was due to the team being poor and him having loss of confidence. would have started Ali ahead of him for the first two games, but he should be light years ahead of Wiltshire in Woys selection, who was shit for the Slovakia game.
  5. Some of the NBA stars are more bulked up than Ross and they are pretty nimble...
  6. Injured for first half of the season. Played OK in a poor team, Fulham fans rate him
  7. With the crop of youngsters we have, I believe he means it.
  8. Good to see that the younger players will be given a chance: http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/ronald-koeman-urges-everton-academy-11502608 Koeman and his management team make this feel like a more professional set up to me, got a good feeling about this pre-season.
  9. I agree about the local lads like Barkley, Pennington etc, but players like Cahill, Howard, Ferguson, all fell in love with the club and became Evertonians.
  10. Moussa Sissoko looks a player on his day. Would he be a better player for us than he has been for Newcastle?
  11. Ends and means. Well I respect your opinion, just don't agree with it, I think its cold. The players help make the club, and are just as much a part of it as the fans or the board. I too would sell the players if it benefited the club, but I care about the players as people.
  12. Yep Rooney hurt, that was business good business for Utd not so good for us. Rooney still loves Everton tho.
  13. That's rather cold, me I want players to feel they belong at Everton that they are part of the family, I know every fan of every club feels that their club is special but I truly believe Everton is, especially when you look at our history, our ethos and what they do with Everton in the community. Don't get me wrong I put Everton first, but I believe the way a club treats its players will affect how they play for us. If a player feels loved, valued and part of something they will give more. I'm not saying we run on sentiment alone, and when a player is done they should be moved on, Tim and Tim being cases in point, both for their and our good should have been moved on allot earlier. But it's the way it is done is key. As for Lukaku, he is a mercenary player, out to be the best player he can, to do that we wants to be playing in the Champions League and does not care which club he is at or how he does it. As long as he is scoring goals teams will not care. What teams wont tolerate is him not trying or caring, which he did for us after Christmas.
  14. In McCarthy's first season he was immense, he sat in front of the back for and shielded them from attacks, he broke up opposition moves and covered allot of ground. His passing was adequate for hos role. This last season his performances have been poor, now weather this is down to injuries catching up to him, loss of form or confidence or a combination of all three I don't know. I hope his loss of form is recoverable, and I am filled with hope as Koeman and his team have worked wonders with other teams.
  15. I know the money is crazy and wrong - but this is the world we live in. We can shop in the Champions League store now and we could spend that money on 3 players, and to be honest that's the spine of the team which is so important. With some of the youngsters we have I hope we spend the money where we need to and give the youngsters and players a chance where we can.
  16. It's all very impressive from Moshiri, he clearly has a plan and is implementing it quickly. From manager to stadium, to Goodison improvements its all happening quickly. This gives me confidence that we will be signing the players we need.
  17. Center Back - not so worried if Stones stays I think our defense will be allot better with a manager who knows how to defend and appreciates them, + talented youngsters. Right Back - Yes its a must. Striker - Yes its a must Creative Midfielder - We have been linked with a few so I think that will happen. Goal Keeper - Yes its a must Winger - Maybe.
  18. Goal keeper, center back, right back, 2 strikers (If Lukaku goes, 1 if he stays), winger, creative center midfielder
