  1. Yep signed for them in the last window.
  2. To be fair, according to the article, Sunderland dicked him on his first contract, then dicked him over a new contract in the summer, before telling him "Don't worry we'll give you a new contract once your escape window is closed", then when he complains giving him a contract that was not as promised. If all this is true why would you forgo a loyalty fee when Sunderland have been the disloyal party.
  3. But he is broken, he will never be the player he was at Villa before his injury. Although there is a real shortage of quality strikers at the moment that money is just ridiculous.
  4. Palace blinked first. Hurts to say but well played pool.
  5. Oscar would, very dynamic and full of running. Never happen tho.
  6. Pressure, pressure, pressure, is what Koeman is about, cut off the oppositions options and they will make mistakes and we get the ball back. Ross does not need to tackle, he needs to pressurise his man, force the mistake and be ready to take advantage.
  7. We have a glut of poor center midfielders and a shortage of decent ones.
  8. If McCarthy goes then we have: Gueye - Great Barry - 35 cant play every game Cleverley,- not a defensive midfielder, Gibson -, injury prone, drunk and inconsistent, Davies, - good but inexperienced. Besic - out for the season. Is that really enough?
  9. Me to, and would mean we might get Carvalho as a replacement.
  10. Great news, investing in the longer term future of the club.
  11. Yep, maybe they will do a T-shirt as you suggest.
  12. Apparently wanted by Sunderland, maybe swap for Kone? http://readeverton.com/2016/08/16/sunderland-want-sign-james-mccarthy/
  13. I think Liverpool are playing chicken with Palace, and I think Palace will blink first, and if Palace do buy him and Sissoko it will be greatest spunking of money against the wall since Utd bought Veron and Liverpool bought Andy Carroll.
  14. This, the difference in ability is not £20 million so would rather have Begovic at £10 million.
  15. Mata can play centrally, and Koemans team always had a box to box midfielder or creative midfielder who would help transition and control the midfield.
  16. With a sturdier defense, better goal keeper we wont need to play as many defensive midfielders. One of the problems we have is we have too many defensive midfielders so that when we try and transition to attack we don't have enough players with the ability to make it work, we lose possession and have to defend again. A Mata type player would make up so much more complete as a team.
  17. Gueye is a warrior, if he caries on like this then he is a steal at £7 million.
  18. Moyes is playing hardball he obviously wants Jags and being the stubborn git he is wont budge until then. He wont want Kone around, an unhappy player in a squad that will be battling against relegation. Its all just maneuvering.
  19. He is the third best keeper in the league, he has gone stale at city and for us would be a massive improvement.
  20. Why is he a big risk at £35 million. With the price of players today £35 million for a player of his proven class and ability, and what he brings to the team is value for money. He will bring the players together on the pitch, he is like a conductor of an orchestra.
  21. I think I have had every emotion going, until the transfer window closes and we know who we have I am mostly apprehensive, as there is uncertainty as to what type of squad we will have. If the deals come off that I think will come off then we will be in a very good place. For this match I think we might get a good result, Koeman is a manager who demands the best of players and consistency. I think the players will be fired up for this match and we shock a few people.
  22. Wasn't it a 50/50 and Mcmahon went in studs up, John stood up to it won the ball and Mcmahon got his just deserts.
