I do love the shouts of wait and see.
I obviously hope those people are right and 777 don't turn out to be what a lot of us fear but if they're wrong it'll be far too fucking late once we wait and see.
I think we should take some heart in the fact they're not called 666 Partners.

Very good! Are you using a translator function?
Mollethi yn Kernewek (kernewegva.com) - my go-to website for all things Cornish.
Sowsnek I guessed from the Scottish - Sassenach.

What I want as a Englishman is to have Cornish Steve arrested for treason and taken to the Tower and be headed before he gets an opportunity to scalp Formby
For obvious reasons, I would like the same thing!!! If you park your cart before the tower, Master Palfy, I can throw turnips at him from behind it for good measure.

Something like this you mean?
Can't be! The last time I checked that thread, Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor were making out. Or was it King Kong and Godzilla?

Wow. I wasn't expecting such a lopsided ODI. After maybe ten overs of the NZ innings, it looked like it would be a close game - but England took no more wickets.
England got their own back today, though. 8 for 3 at one stage and finished 226 for 7! Great resilience. Bowlers ripped through NZ. Sets the last two games up very nicely.

Come a little nearer and I'll scalp your head bald.
Crikey, Steve - that's more intimidating than the haka!

I simply uttered "a teffes dhymm nebes nes, my a bylsa dha benn blogh." It didn't warrant the sin bin.
Can we have the translation?

I'll be watching but I'm not overly excited by it, best that England can do is avoid total humiliation.
Up against Argentina tomorrow. That will be a dull affair, I'm sure. I feel confident they can beat Chile, though!

Cornish Pirates 23-29 Bath
was that a European cup game.
Yes, @Cornish Steve scored a couple of tries for the home team, then was sinbinned for foul and abusive anti-English sentiment after Bath were awarded a penalty. Pirates ended up losing.

Anyone else excited? Really looking forward to it. Les Bleus are my pick. Would like any northern hemisphere team to win, though.

I am a Gray fan, ability-wise, but he has messed up here. Best he is gone.
I will remember the moments of real quality he showed us long after the games he went missing in but wish him well elsewhere.

That was a scally thing initially, it's really quite pathetic and sad that its become so prominent. True Scouse is a lovely accent.
It certainly wasn't as exaggerated in the dramas of the 70s / 80s that I remember. Both of these capture the accent and spirit of the time very well.

Two full backs who can't / won't get forward and can't / won't cross doesn't help matters.
Let's hope Jack Harrison has some tricks in his bag because we have zero creativity in the middle.
