Anyone else excited? Really looking forward to it. Les Bleus are my pick. Would like any northern hemisphere team to win, though.

I am a Gray fan, ability-wise, but he has messed up here. Best he is gone.
I will remember the moments of real quality he showed us long after the games he went missing in but wish him well elsewhere.

That was a scally thing initially, it's really quite pathetic and sad that its become so prominent. True Scouse is a lovely accent.
It certainly wasn't as exaggerated in the dramas of the 70s / 80s that I remember. Both of these capture the accent and spirit of the time very well.

Absolutely need him and I am pleased he's still here.

Considering the financial constraints we were under, I think this has been a good window. Every area of the team needed an upgrade, really; that was never going to happen. The essential area did. The players going out were either crap or never going to play. The squad looks leaner but better. Always a risk with injuries, of course, but you have to accept that.

I was a fan of his before he joined, I won't judge him on 12 months in a shitshow.
He was, quite honestly, one of the standout turds in that shitshow, so I will be very glad to see him gone.

I've been a fan of Iwobi since before he was here, and I love his silly running style. But he's yet another incredibly talented player with the grey matter missing, a headless chicken who runs around aimlessly a lot of the time. He really does have all the ability in the world, but he's a Barkley type player; only ever flashes, more dead-end runs or failed basic passes.
And I'm saying all that as someone who likes him!
I echo all that - and feel the same about Gray (who I guess just needed the 'e' to fulfil his potential). What a difference it would have made.

We'll be over stocked with wingers in that case. If we've got Beto in, then attacking wise I think we're fine with 3 (presumed) starters coming back from injury. I don't see the point in this one
We were after Gnonto, which would have made four. With our current injury crisis, I wouldn't bank on everyone being available! The ability to change things from the bench is also something we don't have. If we can get a deal like the Beto one - payment next year - I'd be very much for it. Sulemana's pace would complement Beto perfectly on the counter.

Fair play to whoever managed to negotiate that deal
Absolutely. Well done, KT.

I think Sulemana will get done.
Hopefully.

Haven't felt this excited about a forward signing since Lukaku! A proper CF at last! Right age, right height, right build. If we get him the service (McNeil and Harrison, please), he will score the goals. Genuinely think this is the turning of the tide.

At the moment I don’t know what Dyche is doing.
Absolutely. We can't afford to keep throwing games away. If Gray is still available, he needs to play. And Keane needs to be dropped.

If this goes through I'm assuming we won't be in for Adams then
Hopefully not!

I’ve never known Everton to be this bad.
Off the pitch, certainly.
On the pitch, last year was points-wise our worst ever.
Early 90's was horrendous, too.

No idea what's going on here, but this is my pattern.

This was our motto for too many years and it's why we're penny pinching now
Circumstances very different now. A week left in a transfer window and we still need a CF.
That 9 million shortfall is going to look pretty insignificant when we go down (you did say this was the season you thought it was going to happen).

Yes, @Cornish Steve scored a couple of tries for the home team, then was sinbinned for foul and abusive anti-English sentiment after Bath were awarded a penalty. Pirates ended up losing.
