I cant wait for this season to be over now. Utterly disgusted.

Blah. Never feels good to lose, especially at home.
The only slight consolation being....you know what!!!

What? 6 games to decide the title now. Only thing this does is guarantee we dont get CL football. I hope Arsenal lose tomorrow, more than ever, so that all of those who would rather us maybe influence the title rather cheer us on to a last game decider, feel my anger and frustration of today.

Fucking crowd singing in the 96th minute. Feel fucking sick. Pathetic.
Probably didn't deserve to win it, but don't think we played that badly tbh. Just can't get over the crowd. Embarrassing. Don't deserve champions league or Europa league.

This is why we are sitting in the shadows, ambition.
For as long as we keep trying to stop Liverpool we never realise our own potential.
We are Everton football club and not Liverpool secondary team. For us not to go for a win would disgust me. Fuck politics I love football and all o ever want is to see my team win.
It's sad to read this thread and realise so many fans are stuck in a big red shadow.

GoodisonRoad reacted to FairWooney in everton vs city
can't compete with City...
we've lost to them once in the last 15 games we've played them at Goodison! Won the last 4 times we've played them at home.
Our home results against the top 7 sides this season:
Beat Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd
Drew with Redshites and Spurs
We've lost the same number of home games as Liverpool this season and conceded less goals.
It's a tough fixture especially with City gunning for a win that will likely make the title theirs but were more than capable of getting at least a point off of them.

"I want to thank the mothers of these players because they gave birth to them with balls this big," said Simeone, gesturing as if holding a football.
Haha! Quality quote from Simeone

GoodisonRoad reacted to Hafnia in Stadium thread: Reprise edition
Bill said it was ring fenced... Gregg knew otherwise and offered to stump up the cash for Kings Dock in a bid to take over, Kenwright seen the risk of losing the club and along came Christian Samuelson and the made up Fortress Fund. A very convenient "means to an end" as Ian Ross described it. Kenwright retain power, Kings Dock never happened and lets just say we would be looking at a ridiculously well funded club if it did.
There are a few factors in getting the numbers up which a new stadium will alleviate. 60,000 is achievable, no question in my mind.
Transport:- At present getting to Goodison is a pain. No parking, no nearby train staitions. Its a big factor. I've had my car done in, my brother has, train journey from wirral is a bit of a pain with crammed trains.
Restricted seats:- There are loads of them at Goodison, even the ones that arent restricted can have you at bad vantage points.
Facilities:- 15 minute wait for a pint and pie, disgusting outdated toilets.
The very fact that we can attract 37,000 fans with previously less attractive football and the above to consider says we have far greater potential. In the 80's we were getting 45k+ in a terraced stadium.
My guess is that for the average game we will see 50k fans, for the likes of the derby, man united etc 60k. An increase per match of £700k - £1m (factoring in improved commercial revenue)

Dont think he was ever in it tbh.
He's behind Lallana, Oxlade, Sterling for me. Might have got a few sub appearances though.

GoodisonRoad reacted to Matt in Longest Thread For Drivel (or the Romelu Lukaku thread)
Bony - 25
Remy - 27 (Linked with Bayern today apparently)
Rodriguez - 24
Lukaku - 20
Between 4-7 seasons of professional football between the others and Rom. Thats a hell of a lot of development. Lukaku is an investment and needs time to develop, this is clear. But this is his first season playing 90 minutes most games and he has looked a handful most of the time, plus hes been used as a target man in the last few months for some reason, which is not his forté. I know hes not perfect but people seem to be extremely short sighted and too quick to judge when it comes to him.

GoodisonRoad reacted to Cake in Stadium thread: Reprise edition
I love Goodison and have been going there for over 45 years but it's time to leave and has been for quite a while, now. Two reasons:
1. Finances and attracting investment, etc...
2. Before something really bad happens during a game. I was in Upper Bullens, block 4, which is almost as far away as you can get from where the away fans are but in the same stand for those who don't know, for the game against Zenit when the Russian loons were bouncing up and down, singing their heads off. The whole stand was moving, swaying and it wasn't built to do that. The panic on peoples faces, standing up shouting at them to sit down/stop, resulted in an announcement in Russian, loud cheering from Zenit, more frenzied bouncing, followed by it stopping after stewards and police moved in. I don't want Goodison to be remembered for falling down because if it did that's all people would remember it for. It deserves better than that and so do we. As we move into European competition over the next and coming seasons we'll see more 'bouncing'. It's already creeping in to our own (Premier League) fans match day routine but, thankfully, not all who do it currently sell their allocation and so they don't make it up to the top tier. Might be nothing and I hope it is for all the right reasons apart from just tarnished memories.
Everything has its day and 120+ years in the same modified house is enough for anyone. Time to move on and start making history in new surroundings for future generations of barking mad Evertonians. The memories from Goodison will still be talked about after we have moved, same as they are now. Let future generations make and have their own. It's high time anyway for the snot-nosed kids of today to start doing something for themselves and make an effort instead of hanging on the coat-tails of their parents and forefathers.

So apart from forecasted figures, we're still none the fooking wiser as to what's actually happening and they've managed to create an artical and mild excitment, by recycling information we already knew?
In summary, "We're working on something".
Thanks for the detail, Mr Informative Bollox.

Doesn't every manager? As long as he gets it right more often than not then I'm not too bothered.
