Really really really looking forward to Payet handing in a transfer request - its bound to happen. They would get £40m for him and spend it on the garbage they usually do.

There is only Payet id take from West Ham. Never been a fan of Noble and he's certainly not better that what we already have.

Payet wont stay at West Ham this summer, Chelsea, Man City and UTD all need improving i can see one making a bid for him. Will take a big bid though id imagine.

their fans have become unbelievable - they could be worse than Chelsea fans for ridiculous unwarranted entitlement . You would have though Payet was Maradona and McCarthy was Goikoetxea the way they have carried on.

No, he misses the next 2 league games - domestic bans aren't competition specific. Strange you'd want one of our best players this season to miss a potential cup final.

Yeah, this is the frustration. Why are we so indifferent? It's as if the team gets too comfortable, too confident, maybe too cocky.

As for the Stones sub. Well, we were 2 up, just lost Barry...time to lock up the game. Isn't that what we want him to do?!!

I don't want Hughes or Pardew anywhere near our club.

    For me, Paul Pogba.

I think it all depends on the rest of the season. The majority of fans either want him out or they are struggling to defend him. A few more poor results and the Martinez supporters (myself included) will start to turn, then i cant really see Moshiri wanting to hand over £100m transfer kitty to a manager who has lost the fans.

People would really go with thier ego rather than see our manager engineer a win over a very good Chelsea team to reach a semi final?

Don't get me wrong yesterday in the second half we were brilliant but if you look at the first half the 3 at the back didn't work. Stones looked lost we should have been 2-1 down apart from a great Robles save and the post. Roms goal he created himself. I go back to the mirralas pen against west brom, he isn't strong enough to pick the right man for the job. Roms pennos even when he scores are not convincing. In fact they are shit. Every penno I've seen jags take have been top quality even the florentina penno save was a worldly.

I've opted for the end of season to decide, he has some real problems to sort out. The first thing I would do if I was him is contact Davie Wier or even Richard Gough (a proper defender) with years of experience and appoint them as defensive coach. Were brilliant going forward imagine having that with Moyes defence!
We may still win the FA cup were good enough, yesterday's official was crap and that's being polite (Chris Camara pointed that out on Sky this morning) as was Lukaku's penalty.
Substitions are suspect to say the least but how many times did we complain about Moyes bringing a defender on at 1-0 with minutes to go only to concede. We need to find a balance between the 2 and I'm not sure if Martinez is able to.

Not voting...will wait to the end of the season.

I'm a backer of Martinez...but I'm struggling with seeing/saying the same things over and over.

If we aren't in or around that top 6 at the end of the season, I'm going to really struggle with how much time he should get.

Argh man, even typing I'm finding it tough. I see so much good that he offers. But we have been repeating the same thing over and over for too long now.

It's a tough one. For me anyway.

If we really want to aim big we need a big name manager.

It is very pie in the sky, but Mourinho has said he wants to stay in England. What club bigger than us want him? He may end up at United, but I cant see it now. Unless Poch leaves Spurs.
Go big, he could easily have £130m to spend in the summer if we let Stones go and then with the TV money.

    Probably unrealistic, but aim high.

I also wouldn't mind Manchini if you could get him. Either way I want a manager who isn't nice.

Post Moshiri I agree, before then, Howe would have been a good option (IMO). Now, if Moshiri wants a return on his investment, I don't think Martinez is the guy to spend the money. Need safe hands, with a plan and a proven record of being astute in the market.

If we can get circa £50 mill for Stones I would carry him to his new club. Personally, I think he has lost his way, has never recovered from Chelski's interest and can't deal with no longer being flavour of the month.

Good business to get rid for the right price. Mori is doing a great job, Galloway is coming good and Holgate and Foulds are not far away. Browning is also in the mix. We could get a cracking attacking mid for £50 million.

I think he's over rated purely on the basis that people use phrases like:-

Best English centre half for years
    Will play for Barcelona
    World class

Let's be honest barring some games where he did have me thinking the quotes above are appropriate he has looked very much a kid who has lots to learn.

For me if someone pays £50m for him then let's snap their hands off. Is he £50m because of his ability to defend? No. Because I don't think his defensive side of the game is very good. He's weak in the air (last night), ball watches alot, goes to ground too easily.

He's a 50m player because he can bring a ball out, looks composed, has a good range of passing.... all very appealing to the footballing purist and a big kudos badge for fans to wear having such a cultured player.

For me he is the icing on the cake for a team that has 9 other outfield players who are comfortable on the ball. Too often I have seen him give coleman, Barry and mccarthy hot potatoes.

Stones is like a £500 graphics card in a pc that will have mid range components. All very fancy but not fit for purpose when it causes the computer to crash.

Btw the Bony shout is a good one. Holds the ball up very well, good athlete, scores goals and his value will have dropped due to him not being used.

Maybe Roberto is using this time to help improve Deulofeu's fitness, for such a young athlete he seems to lack stamina. Lennon's great form could be giving Martinez the chance to work with him on this.

If he fails with us then i see his career going into decline as i doubt Barcelona would want him back

spot on about PSG he would be the perfect replacement for Ibra if he leaves. Plus they'll pay through the nose and he already speaks french. i'd say that move makes the most sense of any move. I don't see a premier league side making sense for him.

Simply put, if lukaku and stones turned in the performances we have seen since the turn of the year for a marquee club then they would be facing serious pressure and bench time.

I'd prefer us not to suddenly start spending big money on 'Billy Big Bollocks'. I think it is totally unnecessary and that particular market is full of mercenary players, agents, clubs...just pure greedy bastards.

We'll stay quiet about our targets and our budget. Because that's the Everton way (just like with the new Moshiri coming in, no one had a clue...and I love that about this club!).

We'll hand pick our targets for the sake of building a better team, not for the sake of just buying a 'name'.

I'd like us to steadily build success rather than buy success over night. That way it leaves a nicer taste.

And yes, I think it increases the pressure on Martinez. Which is a good thing. A bit of pressure does no one any harm and if harnessed in the right way, you'll perform 10 times better.

Exciting times, i agree with the above some minor player acquisitions this summer with the New Owner's full attention to the stadium. Like Arsenal during that period I"m sure it will be smart buys and bargain sells until it's done and we are printing money from the finished stadium. then it will be alexis sanchez and ozil and the like.
