Got a bloke sanding back all my floorboards in the downstairs and putting a clear varnish on them. He put the first coat of varnish down about an hour ago and fucked off and now I'm sat here shut up in the front room breaking my neck for a piss! At least there is some decent racing on, I just have to make sure I dont get too excited!

I still wouldnt give up on him. If we got rid of Mirallas for example I would get him in to play as a winger / second striker, maybe on loan if its possible.

Davies should also have his booking retracted!

I just dont think he was at it kicking wise yesterday, left or right foot. In fairness he probably kicked it more last night than he would have to in a weeks worth of training.

Come off it, Walker is trying to make sure he blocks off DCL and gets his body in the way. DCL gets caught and didnt "dive" but Walker isnt trying to shoulder him or cause injury. That type of move happens all the time in a game of football.

DCL for me today too. Superb performance in the context of the game.

I can only remember two (not saying there werent 3) but they were stupid fouls. I thought he wasnt really in the game until the second half because he was man marking Silva/De Bruyne but then we saw him do much more in that second half, stopping them having too much time and space in the middle, plus he also released a decent through ball which isnt like him!

Completely right, especially the bit in bold. I only thought that De Bruyne and Silva were any good on Monday. Fernandinho solid but unspectacular (as he is), Sane & Sterling werent at their best. They are a decent attacking team but thats a terrible defensive midfield. The first two give up when they have to sprint more than 10 yards and then you are up against a slow and unsettled back 3, which was the one thing Koeman did do well in using DCL to exploit that. I was actually really disappointed with City, I was expecting a lot more (in both games).

Yeh he dropped off quickly. Its now 2 games in a row where he has played simple ball in midfield straight to the opposition. I expect more from a man of his experience in those type of areas. Im hoping its just fatigue.

I just didn't think the tactic was as effective as is being made out. They had some great opportunities before and after we scored and if those goals go in and we get beat people will hold a different view. I think we had 1 shot on target, if they had that efficiency we would have conceded 4 or 5. I expect that playing away at the big sides Koeman will set us up defensively and to play on the counter. No problem with that at all, but we were poor when it came to causing a threat, like we were a lot of last season away from home against half decent sides. If you play defensively you need to be a threat and we weren't. Rooney and Davies were caught between defence and attack (same as Rooney was last season), and it was only because DCL did unbelievably well up top that we had any joy whatsoever (yet again why did he start at RB last week). Our back 5 looked shaky in parts, remember Jags falling on his arse but somehow able to get the block in, Keane caught out when they hit the post, Williams and Keane getting well out of position when trying to intercept. Then when they went to 10 men they still had the best chances. We got lucky and on another occasion we won't get as lucky and ship a few. Unless we are having a Leicester season and we are going to win the league!

I was surprised to see him change it like that. I understand Davies/Klaasen like for like but I thought he could have done the same with Siggy and Rooney as the latter was poor. I didn't even disagree with the starting line up but they didn't play like a team that knew the system. Too many gaps, too many potential chances. Going to a 4 at the back didn't really work either, same problem.

DCL was an absolute star tonight. What a shift, really impressed me. Gana was decent again and I thought both Baines and Jags were impressive.

What a load of rubbish. We may spend like a big club but have the mentality of a small one. Wasted opportunity.

Bar the goal, Rooney has been crap. Klaassen hasn't started too well either.

Jags has been absolute class today.

All started from Rooney misplacing a simple pass. We got lots of bodies back in time.

I didn't see that change coming.
