  1. I have seen that the medical is tomorrow (Twitter) so should be done and dusted shortly. I expect personal terms already agreed.
  2. All transfers are the same though you just see more of ours so you think it is only a problem with Everton.
  3. Haye or Bellew then ladies and gents? Haye for me, as soon as he lands his first proper punch Bellew will be on his arse looking at the stars.
  4. Yeh I think you are. I can't wait for Joshua to knock them both out!
  5. Only if Jags or Williams left... which is unlikely.
  6. I used to go to school with Matt Ritchie and no one ever fussed around him. Most footballers won't even have to make it college. No one watches college games or uni games here, maybe 100 at a push. Over there the college games are massive. A lot need scholarships too to give them a chance. To deal with that, general school life and the learning side must be difficult, especially as everyone knows you in the school, people outside the state may even know of you. I'm not really commenting on the rape stuff, just another seperate observation.
  7. Good post. I understand why you are comparing us with Canada and Australia, and whilst this isn't as much of an issue in this day and age, the location of those two countries compared to other important nations should also be considered. The UK has many more important neighbours on their doorstep. Ok one of them will be the EU which may or may not be fruitful but the options are always there. Those two countries may have 10, 15 or whatever but who is to say we can't get more. Its clearly not impossible and our experience of being in the EU should help us in that regard, not to mention our historical colonial ties to many countries world wide. Your very true about the Tory old boys club however at least they are old boys I can vote in or out (at least most of them). We desperately need a credible opposition to make a true success of Brexit. There is definitely a large element or the Brexiteer movement that want the UK out at any cost to stop all these 'jolly foreigners' but there are also lots of Brexiteers that look forward to the type of nation we can be away from the conformaties of the EU. I don't think it is right for such different cultures to be brought together in the way they are. British culture is far different to any other culture in Europe, we are a bunch of twats to be honest and you are probably better off without us! Don't get me wrong either, I am a big fan of the original concept of the EU. Easier trade, easier movement of people, shared intelligence and ideas. They are all brilliant concepts. The problems come with shared currency, shared laws and an overpowering "justice" system, and the growing potential of a unified army are all becoming too much. Each individual county should be celebrated for its independence, for what that country means to its people and how that country governs itself. It shouldn't be shoehorned into a one size fits all, where the bigger countries, one way or another will always hold more sway than the smallest leaving the rest to conform. It's an exaggeration but when you look at where what has happened since its introduction, who knows what will haplen in 50 or 100 years from now.
  8. It's difficult to come here and play every now and then. I haven't seen much of him but he looks like he puts a shift in when I have seen him without being too much of a threat... Not so bad if you are a centre half but it is when your a striker!
  9. You have to respect how good of a boxer Eubank Jr is though. Unbelievable power and as dedicated as they come. Losing to BJ Saunders was the best thing that could have happened to his career. Both him and his dad need to shut their mouths though and just get on with the boxing.
  10. I can't imagine the pressure they must be under at the same time (the legit ones not the ones that should be locked up). Expected to be a star from such a young age big watched by tens of thousands every week and having to deal with school and college hierarchy. Has massive benefits but must also be tough when things don't go well.
  11. Spot on. I hope He has a good career (just not with us).
  12. Show me the evidence? I have had a search and he isn't listed as injured anywhere. Not even on physiotable.com or whatever it is.
  13. Problem is he doesn't manage Soton anymore he manages us! On a serious note they don't look like they are on the same page. Plus given your logic from earlier Koeman inherited a very organised Soton side from Pochettino so maybe that is why ?
  14. Yeh that was a superb individual goal. Defenders must crap themselves 1 v 1 against him in space. He can beat you with power or pace.
  15. Haha that's going some! To be honest finishing position isn't that important to me, I just want to see this team develop, I want to see what Koeman wants us to be. I hope it was a bit like the Arsenal game but I honestly don't know yet. If we finished 10th by playing every team off the park but finding the keeper having a worldy then I would take that moving onto next season.
  16. You started the tit for tat, belittling thr opponent. I just said that the identity had changed, regardless of opponent.
  17. Fixtures aren't relevant because for every team that underperformed, one will over perform. Again so a couple of players, I do get the argument but it would normally indicate a slow start not a quick start before levelling off. Yes they all played, I didn't say they didn't! But they were not a meaningful part of the squad as they were either injured or not good enough. You arent seriously trying to tell me that not having Hibbert and Osman in Koemans squad is a reason for us not doing better this season? Regarding Naismith he was mainly on the bench. I like Naismith but he was in the doldrums before Martinez came here, people wanted rid, and then we got a great price for a bench player or rotation option. Naismith wanted to play regularly too so it was a move that suited all parties. Well in that case every manager bullshits the support. Martinez just had a certain flair for it!
