  1. Fair play, I suspect that if people like you were in front of the nation explaining the virtues of the EU as opposed to the scaremongering politicians, the result would have been very different!
  2. Re your last paragraph, that isn't Walsh's style though. At Leicester buys players for a low fee, some work out, some don't, same at Chelsea. We will obviously be paying big money for some players like Schneiderlin but I expect Walsh to be looking at players that slip under the radar. It looks like there is a reason this guy slipped under the radar though!
  3. That's him in a nut shell. Worth £30mil with some of the stuff he does and then not worth £5 with his next kick.
  4. I heard it was our head scout that was so keen on signing him.
  5. Yeh I completely agree. Holystove, I love that quote. Do you work for the EU or in Govt in some capacity as you know an incredible amount about EU regs and principles?
  6. I have no problem with foreign aid as long as it is going into the right hands. With the amount of money that countries have paid in foreign aid over god knows how many years they should have been able to create a settlement on Pluto, let alone still struggle with the same issues they have struggled with for the last 50 odd years.
  7. I find Redmond so frustrating. A decent player would have put that tie to bed tonight and yet it stays 1 all. I think they said that this was only his second goal of the season and that was from a corner when he is one of their main outlets. Not to mention this is a team struggling from creativity that he is there to provide. He is just a slightly better Aaron Lennon.
  8. Neither of us know whether that is true or not. You never really know the true figure anyway in a transfer deal but I would still be more inclined to believe the clubs.
  9. You're talking too much sense for my liking. Stop clogging up threads with such well thought out and straight forward words! As much as I don't really like him, at the prices touted I would rather go with Berahino than the Algerian fella. It might be worth a punt on him as even if it didn't work out we would probably still get our money back.
  10. 10 mil would be huge for a player with that record in those leagues.
  11. I have seen what appear to be slightly different stats (none of the stats I have seen are from great sources mind) Parma 57 games / 9 goals / 8 assists Baniyas 23 games / 11 goals / 5 assists Liege 21 games / 9 goals / 4 assist Livorno 17 games no goals assists Lyon 13 games no goals assists Inter 10 games / 1 goal / 1 assist Bologna 8 games no goals assists Algeria 14 games / 2 goals Though out his club career he has scored every 291 mins and assisted every 484 mins. He has also been booked every 484 mins too!
  12. I agree in that if this does become a test of character then Bellew will be the one that wins. Bellew said it himself, he will get up off the canvas to win but I'm not sure Haye would. I still think it just takes one clean shot from Haye to put Bellew flat on his arse.
  13. Completely agree. Give him a couple of years and then maybe he will be fine but he isn't a weekly starter yet.
  14. This fella could only score 11 from 23 games in the UAE league. I can't see that he is really a guy we will be after.
  15. Has anyone seen this guy play... his stats don't make great reading.
  16. I expect him to be fit but not sharp. I would get him in until he runs out of steam and then bring on whoever we need at that time. I would be surprised if a player ever truly got match fit coming off the bench. I know I never did.
  17. I think he would suit Koeman's style really well. He loves doing the dirty work.
  18. Completely agree. Stay within the rules but push them to the limit.
  19. I think the NHS is quickly becoming far too unsustainable and they could print money for it and I doubt it would solve the problems they have. People are living longer, probably don't receive enough care from their own family, drugs are far more expensive than they need to be, they aren't enough Doctors and nurses and too many people are wasting GP/ Walk in centre time with trivial illnesses and injuries that wouldn't have done 20 years ago. On that last point For example, People now feel that they have to go to the GP for whiplash just to make sure they can make a compensation claim and with the rise of Internet diagnostics people think a basic cold is the next big disease. The NHS system wasn't built for the modern day society and I would hate to think where it would be without the amazing doctors and nurses up and down the country who do such a good job in the face of enormous pressure.
  20. How weird because I always thought that you guys had the right idea. It seemed fairer, kids still got an "education" (I would prefer that to be better over here) and that it also prepared them for the limelight and they didn't suddenly go from back of the class prankster who was decent at footy to the next big thing overnight.
  21. He can bang though but a punchers chance is all he has. I like Bellew because he has made a good living through pure hard work. He is a bang average boxer with a good head on him and a loud mouth and he has not only made a career but put himself in the history books.
