SimonButtle reacted to Matt in Toby Alderweireld
i'll trust ya I'm sure I read he said he wasn't interested in going to Russia but I guess that could've been another media "fact" -
SimonButtle reacted to Lowensda in Toby Alderweireld
It's not gonna happen. He'll go somewhere like Norwich...how a player like Medel can go to f*cking Cardiff, I have no idea. Some shit teams are buying top talent...we on the other hand, seriously lacking on the "improve the first team" front.

SimonButtle reacted to Hafnia in Shane Duffy
It's quite scary to think of the ones we don't know about. How good could Wallace have been - he refused a contract. Did Baxter really get a fair crack? He actually refused to sign a contract to seek football too.
The underlying impression I get is that once you are given a pro contract at Everton and you have done a year in reserves - get out. I think Martinez has gone about addressing this issue. Players are getting loaned out rather than earning £2k a week to play in front of 40 people with clip boards.

SimonButtle reacted to Hafnia in James McCarthy
I've said before, I would sacrifice the extra bit of oomph you get from a fully focused felli for a player who gives a little less far more often. McCarthy looks a proper player to me, with the likes of Gibson and Barkley around him he can be a real string puller.
He reminds me of Danny murphy, better in terms of athleticism and defensive play. But murphy was a ridiculously under rated footballer - someone fans ignored. I would have loved him at Everton. This lad seems to have more in terms of potential. Yes from me. £10m max, £8m plus add ons.

SimonButtle got a reaction from Sibdane in James McCarthy
Im just concerned about value for money, if the fee was £10m or less then im all for it, i said back when Roberto was first linked with us that id like to see McCarthy here, just not at £15m. However looking at some of those stats compared to others(as you posted above) then maybe your right, maybe he is the best we are going to get.

SimonButtle reacted to Lowensda in Is Fellaini good enough for Manchester United?
My bold shout of the season is that Coleman will be the best and most productive RB in the league.

SimonButtle got a reaction from Sibdane in Marouane Fellaini
Seen some reports suggesting Zenit and Anzhi are interested in Fellaini, id much rather sell to one of them at least we would get the proper value for him, i really don't want to deal with Moyes and the mancs

There's no doubt about his ability. The fella has it in abundance. He just has a problem with consistency. And obviously it'll depend on where Moyes utilises him if he does buy him - if he's played upfront you won't see anything approaching what he's capable of. But if he's played as a DM then he'll be the midfielder you've been needing to bring in for years.

Now that the chinese have their hands on volvo and saab, this is the only swedish car left on the market. A peach of a car.

SimonButtle reacted to Hafnia in Marouane Fellaini
Seriously, does anyone seriously think moyes thinks of us as his only true love - a little bit like on the film Casino where Sharon Stone rips off her new rich husband to fund her trampy ex (James woods)... don't be kidded. He is out for himself.
Moyes for me has gone to United thinking he is at the biggest club in the world who can get anyone they think on thr cheap. His behaviour thus far stinks of arrogance. He knew he was going way before anyone else did, tried paltry bids for baines, now looking at a lesser bid for fellaini.
For me, I hope he fails at the club. simple as that.

might already have one. Her grandad has a fully restored 65 convertible, chromed the engine when it was all cleaned out, and wife thinks he's leaving it to her dad (who won't want it, she thinks). But, looking around and because Switzerland is crazy for import tax, I need to own the car for 6 months before I can bring it in tax free, so might be a long time yet. No idea on the shipping charges either -

I honestly think that was half the problem with Bily Haf

SimonButtle reacted to Hafnia in David Moyes thread
Mirallas in case is a perfect example of Moyes - a match winner, great signing. Yet moyes chose to criticise him, bring him back from injury early and try to 'toughen' him up. Clearly he didn't tailor the training around him. Mirallas, like RVP are very pacey, slight players - you can't train them like a Distin.

SimonButtle reacted to Lowensda in Toby Alderweireld
I've seen some worrying signs with our CB's in pre-season, i'm hoping it's 'blips'.
Alderweireld would walk into our team at present.

All nice cars when we were kids, wouldnt want one now though, taste changes. (and gets better)I dont wanta remade p1800, i want an original in mint condition. A bone white with red leather seats, just like the one Roger Moore had in the Saint.

Still way too much sloppy passing from our centre backs and goal keeper.
