Romey 1878
500 words to go so I'll finish it tomorrow. I've got to basically crap all over what I've already written. How has Josh been getting on with his work Mike?

How has Josh been getting on with his work Mike? Just handed me the finished work Mark. It's not brilliant but at least he's got something to hand in (which is a lot better than the positions I used to find myself in)....he's never had to do anything on this sort of scale before 'cos it's his first term at "big" school. Had a parents evening and interim report last week and he's doing much better than we expected, particularly as we moved house so he knew no-one when he started. Read some stuff about Marx' theory, never heard of it before....hard work!!

Atleast he's got it done and he doesn't have to worry. The actual concept of alienation isn't that difficult, the problem is in the book I'm using for it it's very long winded and hard to take in. I should finish it tomorrow though and then I'm onto my next piece

MikeO
How You doing on TFF? i had to change my team afetr putting 4 man Utd players in for Mondays game! I'm 77,316th on 500 points (tied with Alan Hansen ). Had a dreadful start but climbing slowly. Many years ago (before you could play online) me and some mates used to take it in turns to buy the Torygraph....I used to find it so embarrassing I'd to buy a copy of "Men Only" to hide it in . LoL, same ere, 1st time i did TFF i used to buy it, never thought of looking online for the password, but i got it off the shelf, and their was a scrawny piece of paper hanging out of it, so i just threw it out, and when i threw ALL of the sports bit, i couldnt the password, i phoned my dad who does it aswell and he said look at the Pullout in the middle of it, and i just shit, Fukin Hell to him and put the phone down, so that was a waste of time and money(wasnt a cheap paper). i got 65 points this week, but have got some arsenal players aswell for 2nites game. got 533 points, and i am 37.748,
Romey 1878
Well I've spent a few hours on my next assignment and managed to pretty much get half of it done and I'll do the other half tomorrow, I can now relax in the pub tonight and watch the mighty blues. Quite why I have to look at how flexible capitalism has impacted on an occupation is beyond me but oh well. Jacko - No not a terrorist, just a good son waiting in for my mum's Christmas present

Romey 1878
What exactly is it you're studying Mark? Sociology. Which basically means Im studying everything . The module that this assignment is for is about culture and consumption, so im looking at how people consume sign values, capitalism, post-fordism etc.
MikeO
Sociology. Which basically means Im studying everything . Holy shite, that is a big subject....but at least I know what "Fordism" is now .
Bill
Yes, i partook in "Fordism" when i worked at Fords in Halewood Mid 60s, they encouraged the employees to buy the Cars we made and took the payments out of our Wages, plus we got a generous Discount. Bill
Could be Jammed, if you put it in gear and just rock it forward or backward it can sometimes release the starter motor. Good luck mate.

MikeO
Was the starter motor, bloke gave it a big whack with a mallet and it started. Second time it's happened so new one being fitted this afternoon, bye bye £110 . Edited December 6, 2007 by MikeO
Bill
I had one years ago that played up but i kept rocking it and it kept starting so i didnt change it, lasted about 18 months before it fell apart. Another way is if you live or can park it on an incline, just need to put foot on clutch and let it roll a yard before upping the clutch and that usually free's it. Its a bad time to be spending money on it just before Chrimbo.
