jacko 1990 Posted February 7, 2008 Report Share Posted February 7, 2008 On Monday my mum got a phone call from Tiscali(our internet provider) and they said that we were downloading too much during peak hours (6-9)(Cue the Porn d'loading jokes) but we aint be downloading anything except the odd song off limewire. So when i got home i and my mum told me i phoned them and basically told them where to get off, cos im basically the only one who knows how to use a computer in my house and i aint be downloading, they were extremly apologetic and checked our internet usage and realised they made a mistake and to make up for it they would send somebody round to our house on Wednesday(yesterday) and they would give us Better internet and a free wireless modem(already have 1 thou) and Tisacli TV all for free, so i was well made up, that my rather aggressive nature had finally got me something cos i was sick at just having Freeview. ive always wanted sky and even offered to pay for hlaf of it but my mum would never except the offer) so now its a dream come true, its got all the normal channel and it has Sky one and all them sort of channels and it hasn't got the music channels but you have to buy them(fair enuf cant get everything for free) and also it has Skysports and Setanta on it ready for me to subscribe to. it can Record programmes aswell and looks alot similar to a xbox 360. ( Tropical PISSS down rain) We have this monssonal thing happening @ moment, kids off school as cant get car out of fuking Street, I have lake Pat out the back, dont have a front yard anymore. Perhaps thats where ill build the ark. Still stinking hot, local council were offering sand bags late last week, I wont need sand bags. Wish Ide taken the sand bags -> another 12 hrs of this will make things real interesting & the snorkel may well need dusting off. Ill not be beaten . jamiemaher85 Posted February 12, 2008 Report Share Posted February 12, 2008 I play with friends every now and again just for a couple of quid, but we play for fun more than anything. I'm not really bothered going to to casino's or anything would rather just play with mates at home. Saying that though one of my friends has just been sponsered and turned pro. Think he made 25k profit last year, which is just crazy money. Its one way to use your student loan i guess, i could never bring myself to use large amounts of money for gambeling though. He's had a few close moments but in all fairness he has had a fair bit of luck and will also take a large amount of his winnings and put it away and not use it for gambeling money so he rarely wastes his winnings.
