Have to agree with Romeys analysis, pretty much spot on as usual, and I will happily eat my portion of the humble pie on offer :)

Travelled up with a mix of Blues of both persuasions on the train and almost everyone was of the same opinion though.

The one person the Chelsea boys were nervous of was a certain Mr. Saha and with bloody good reason as it turned out!

LD, TC, Heitinga & Louis stood out most for me, Bily, Ossie and Pip (In that order) were the most frustrating.

Thought the crowd was pretty good, quiet at first, but then there wasn't a great deal to shout about to begin with, but the old lady was rocking at the end!

Dishonourable mention goes to the knob who knocked my Mrs. flying in Goodison road pre-match, didn't even have the courtesy to stop and apologise, and left her with a twisted ankle and several bruises.

I think osman was better than he's being given credit for. He wasn't great on the ball, but he was a work horse and just stayed on lampard the entire game. Other than that, I agree with what's been said.

Totally agree.

While everybody else was standing off watching Chelsea pass the ball around until their hearts content it was Ossie(abley assisted by Cahill) who was getting stuck in and making a game of it. He put in some superb tackles and never stopped all night

I thought he was easily MotM but he never seems to get any credit. I just wish people were as quick to acknowledge him when he puts in a performance like that as they are to slag him off when he doesnt play so well

It's amazing in France virtually no specialist thinks that Saha has the level to play for the national team .... <_< They have spoken of the defeat by Chelsea but no victory Everton! When they talk about Everton and they say "The modest club Everton"

Spécialistes de merde Excuse for my english

I'm all for Saha saving himself for Everton, if Louis himself would like to play for France, then I guess he better start banging in a few more goals for us, ie make it hard not to play him.

A defeat for Chelsea = a victory for Everton. however you write it, it still boils down to Everton 2 Chelsea 1.....We could go on about it but were far to modest

Viva la difference........P S English good Nantes!

My First trip to goodison in around 7 years (shame on me) and a fantastic one it was too.

The first time I've roamed the bars of Liverpool and around the ground and my first time in Gwladys street end.

Great performance and good to see Saha putting the goals in and a fine performannce to go with it after I'd been a bit dissapointed with him over the last couple of games.

I've seen a lot of comments on kipper about lack of singing at our games and I was dissapointed to find it was very true. I thought that by choosing the Street End on a big match night game it would really be buzzing but maybe down to our result at the weekend or maybe just generally it seemed really subdued at first.

You could hear the Chelsea fans from the first minute singing their hearts out, not one song in response from us.

Even when we equalised things felt flat very quickly.

I don't think the crowd really starting singing till the last 10-15 minutes when we were 2-1 up but even then it was sparse until the last 5. Though I could feel the nervousness throughout that period.

I did try to get a song or two going by the way but it fell pretty flat!

One more moan...fairly apt....our fans moan like no ones business! We were doing a great job at restricting them to the middle of the pitch much like the Shites did to us, heavy defending but looking safe enough. Despite Chelsea looking short on ideas so far away from our box at periods people are screaming "close him down, "go to him" and so on. While I'm not a fan of negative tactics you have to accept that against a side like Chelsea there are going to be periods where they're going to have the ball for a long time and sometimes it's better to hold firm and wait for them to make a mistake not allowing them any space near the box.

Anyway apart from those two moans from me I had a great time and will very hopefully be back before the end of the season (Portsmouth on final day hopefully).
