Matt
went with Baines in the end, but it really was soooo close between Felli and Distin too. What a game....
MikeO
Felli for me.
evertonblue
I thought once again Baines was awesome. Fellaini was great to, which makes our team so much more dangerous when hes playing well. I have been critical of Cahill lately but i think he deserves man of the match here. Everything he did was flawless. He put Beckfords goal on a plate for him it was practically a tap in and he always seems to deliver in the big games. Great effort by the Toffees. Thought we could have even got 3 points.
coxy051
i think Rodders played quite well considering who he was up against give it to him, didn't look out of place 1 bit. Felli had a good game and Baines as usual.
Steve_E
Gave it to Felli. Distin and Baines were really good as well.
Romey 1878
Fellaini.
jcrawfor
Felli, he bossed the midfield, yet again. Never want to see Heitinga in DM again. Good play from nearly everyone apart from Saha, especially Distin (what a rock!), Baines and Cahill.
ftaylor
Felli was outstanding but there with 3 times (all in the last 10 mins?) when he brought down the ball so magnificently only to spurn the obvious pass for a flailing shot... so baines for me
iggy
Baines.
Bill
Baines ... showed how it should be, get the ball and run at defenders, it takes you into a dangerous place or they have to pull you down, the mids and the forwards should be doing that. smeghead1
Went for Baines but wish i couldve voted for 2 as Felli was great why did he get himself banned? Was really impressed with the fact we didnt really miss Arteta!
Lowensda
Bet Milky feels Fellaini's still a waste of space! But Baines edges it based on at least 4 incredible balls into the box, and all intentional.
MikeO
Looking for player ratings online to see what the "neutrals" thought found these pearls of wisdom on Goal.com.... Baines: "A couple of decent crosses, but was outnumbered as Bosingwa and Kalou both operated on the right hand side." 7.5 Fellaini: "Sat deep alongside Rodwell in his return to the team, was combative but could do little about Chelsea's midfield dominance." 6 (same as they gave Saha). Sky gave Fellaini a six, Baines eight and Distin nine :dont know: .
Lowensda
Maybe Distin got a good rating based on the fact he kept Drogba pretty quiet and Anelka, so i understand why they may have given him a good rating however i wouldnt have said that Baines was less deserving of the same or more? What baffles me most is the fact that people who supposedly know about football can watch that game and completely miss Fellaini's contribution. There's the problem Mike, i don't think they watch what me and you watch, i think highlights are whats given to them not the whole game. Bailey
Went for Fellaini in the end but could quite easily have also been Baines or Distin. We look a much better team with Felli involved and he is different class.
The Beard
My comments echo most what has been said. Baines' superb left sided display deserved the Man of the Match award, defended well but his forward play put the oppositions left back into the shadows. Fellaini deserves credit for his contribution all round while Distin was agin superb in defence, a real turn around in his performances in the last month or so. adamsmith69
Baines by a long way. Outshone Cashley on his own turf. He HAS to play for england
marcopaulo
no he doesn't..don't be ridiculous! he plays every week for his team and he plays really well! both qualities that capello doesn't like
adamsmith69
So much for his statements when he came in. I will only pick players who are playing well week in and week out (or some schizzle like that)
