Wow we have looked shit for large chunks of that game but its unsurprising when on paper you start with 3 Rb's, 2 defensive midfielders and no strikers!

Hibbo positional play is all over the place and because of it Distin is trying to cover everything. Having Neville & Hibbert next to each other in a back 4 is a recipe for disaster and that right channel has looked vulnerable at times.

We started to play a little better towards the end when we got Rodwell and Arteta breaking forward and making runs beyond Cahill. Cahill shouldnt be used as a central striker (like he was to start with) where he is always the furthest man up the pitch. He is easy to mark and when its him vs a CB in that situation the CB invariably wins. He needs someone else to puch the oppo back four deeper so he can find small pockets of space, which has now started to happen. Hopefully we keep this up as we could comfortably score hatfuls.

Arteta was so quiet first 30mins of this game as he was just sitting there, playing sideways but in the last 10-15 he has actually made forward runs, making space and finding space. With him and Rodwell doing that and supporting Cahill we look dangerous. If we just get them 2 to sit back again we will get beat as we cant hold the ball up well enough when its back 4 vs Cahill.

Seamie has been best man on the pitch by a mile for me so far, and thats before his goal. Should have had two though! COYB's!
