Went for Beckford but Ossie had a great game - however he cannot shoot. His final shot should have been a goal but he sprayed some wild shots throughout the match. His passing and positioning was really good.

Good games by Arteta, Rodwell, Jags and Howard as well. Coleman has been giving the ball up a bit too much recently but still has the occassional stroke of genius

Jags, Osman, MIkel for me lads (in that order). I thought Jags was brilliant, solid, did everything that was asked of him. Osman was everywhere, really impressed me with his work rate, that little run at the end was Messi like! Finally Knowbody better, he looked back to his best, sprayed the ball around well and looked sharp and controlled.

Beckford just misses out for me, however his movement was brilliant as ever, maybe if he'd have done the full 90 he might have got in my top three...

MOM - Jags

Funny how people see the game differently isn't it?

Ossie played as good as he can which is a high standard. Saha played well in a front two which gets my vote. Went the match with a sunderland fan who said sahas first half was class in a glass, in terms of touch, ability to scare defenders etc. His vote is mine today

First half he was unplayable at times and he was toying with the sunderland defence, although I thought he got a little lazy in the second half, although i probably didnt help that we went long a bit too regularly.

Osman, just for me, his work rate (as usual) was excellent. His willingness to stay on the left until he was asked to move further infield later on did him credit. He actually won a few defensive headers and even tried crossing the ball, and shoot, with his left foot on more than one occasion. Arteta was definately getting back to what we know he can do and had his best game for a while, great run for the second goal. Fellaini was doing his usual sound stuff, breaking up play and driving us on until his injury, whilst the defence looked quite solid, decent marks for Jagielka, Distin et al. Disappointing day for Coleman, I thought. Have teams found him out, denying him space to race into, getting him to shift onto his left foot. If we had any options then it maybe time for a rest for Seamus!

Pleased with the result. Mostly pleased with the performance. Still lacks something, but better all round I think.

I actually had to ponder who to pick this game for MOM. Ossie deserved it I suppose but I decided that the improvement in Arteta gave him the edge. Partly for his on the pitch work, and partly for the fact that he seems to have finally pulled his socks up and got on with it.
