Madmatt
i went for mirallas, ran his socks off and fast turning around his season after a slow start! awesome goal and feels like a great win.
Matt
Baines, Naismith or Pienaar? Not sure yet. Shout out for McCarthy and Stones too. No one had a bad game really. And whilst Mirallas won the game with a stunning freekicks, the amount of times he was caught offside or not in the right place, can't give it to him. Went with Pienaar Edited February 1, 2014 by Matt
markjazzbassist
pienaar, changed the game and had that first assist. i hope he's fully fit, we need him to start.
Mirallas
Mirallas. Pienaars contribution was good, but definitely not enough for me to give my vote to a substitute. The overall performance of the team didn't impress me, but Mirallas did well imo in a role that he doesn't often play in.

Pienaar was a close second with my vote, and the whole team looked good. tim howard didnt have a save to make in the second half did he? dont forget this isnt our first team out either so im happy with that. fingers crossed we have a few more bodies next week. bring on spuds

Cornish Steve
Had to go with Naismith. He was on for less than 20 minutes, but things turned around at that point. He gets a lot of flak, some of it justified, but he had a habit of scoring big goals. Credit where credit is due. Matt
toffeemanje3
Went with Naismith too. Since he's been playing in his new position, he's been nickin' a few goals and looked a lot more confident Credit to RM for trying this

Zoo
Was going to go with Pienaar but seeing as going with the majority is frowned upon I went with Alex Nyarko. Fearthainn

msloan78
Subs were game changers in my opinion. We needed Pienaar to come on and make things happen, and Naismith just asked the Villa defence some different questions I thought. Mirallas was offside and drifted too often in the first half, which possibly contributed to us not being all that threatening. Mcarthy was very good in the second half and was always looking to drive forward. Stones, Baines and Ossie all had tidy games too. All in all I think Pinaar deserves it. Peter H
Mirallas with one reservation, stop running offside when you have the defender right infront of you. If you see the defender stay onside when the pass comes. Thats the rule bro. Stop complaining at the ref when you were obviously offside. Its embarrassing. Great free kick. Maybe the best this season from an everton player. (Baines second vs West Ham and Barkleys strikes are the contenders imo)
