Very tough game this 1, hopefully they will be tired from the Liverpool game as we will probaly rest key players against Petabrough. Given is injured but no news wen he will be coming back so hopefully wont be back for saturday. Got to watch Martins upfront as he is very fast. I think we will come away with a 1-0 win and work are socks off all game. Come on you blue Boys! Edited September 18, 2006 by Adams
Romey 1878
Given is out for 6 weeks so theres no chance he'll be in goal, but Harper is just as good IMO.1-1 Arteta for us, Martins for them
Mac
Toying with idea of going up to this one, only problem is I will have to sit with the Geordie maggots. We have to win and I feel we will win comfortably, Given has been their best player for 3 years now, his absence will be a huge advantage for us. Easy to get to, 25 mins on the train. Anyone going?. thebluenose
well to be honest boumsong and bramble arnt really world beaters with pace. AJ will do them for pace and if BT plays he will outmuscle them. so long as we play the ball along the gorund as much as we can. we can easily beat them. Mac
The last time I sat amongst them was the 1-0 win with Soupy scoring the goal, must be about 5-6 years ago now. Stewards didn't know what to make of me, you could just make out my top through the top of my jacket. ATB Mac
Bluetrip
One of the hardest places to play away even if their players haven't hit form yet. I'd be happy with a 1-1 draw, Cahill to score.
irishtoffee
Wouldn't be a bad result if we got a draw but i think we can win this game. We could destroy their defence in my opinion espically AJ against Bramble. I will go for a 0-2 win AJ and beatts coming off the bench to score again. Zed
I hate newcastle. But the chairman has splashed the cash again for them and they have a lot of quality in their side This will be a big test and I will be pleased with a draw. I guess its on SKY 1 if its sunday at
KillaGTiR
they have not done to much this year and i think we can get it over them score 2.1 aj with both of them i have a 50$ bet riding on the game with my boss we was both giving each other heeps of stick
MikeO
Think we'll score a goal or two for sure...just a question of whether the defence can keep them out. According to VDM Martins is "the fastest player on earth" so they'll need to cut out the mistakes. But AJ will cause even more chaos than usual 'cos their defence is still iffy. I'll go for 2-1 or maybe even 3-2 to us. Arteta free kick, AJ and Wharf getting off the mark !

Bill
Duff, Parker, and Emre. Which is why he will go back to 4-5-1, NEVILLE, CAHILL and CARSLEY, in the middle with the tackles and agression. ARTETA and OSMAN on the flanks providing the skill. And AJ tearing all over the front line with occasional assistance from TIM. VALENTE in for Naysmith. HOWARD HIBBO YOBO LESCOTT VALENTE OSMAN CAHILL CARSLEY NEVILLE ARTETA Johnson. SUBS. Wright, Naysmith, Hughes, Beattie, Davies. The squads got a better look about it this season. Edited September 23, 2006 by Licker

MikeO
Looks about right to me Licker other than maybe VDM on the bench instead of Davies. I'd settle for just one of those two coming good...long overdue for both of them!
Tara Mac
5-0 win for the blues, you are due to Turk someone soon. A bit torn here, I have two sons and one nephew who are Cartoon Army, and a big lovely studmuffin of a husband who is blue. Stats are stats and a win for the blues.
