I called the RSPCA today and said, "I've just found a suitcase in the woods containing a fox and four cubs."

"That's terrible," she replied. "Are they moving?"

"I'm not sure, to be honest," I said, "But that would explain the suitcase."

I won't celebrate us losing to them but at the same time it wouldn't really bother me. My love will always be for Everton but there is an element of hate towards Liverpool that no Evertonian should be able to flick on and off like a switch.

If us being beaten means they have to wait even longer for a league title then so be it.

In his after match interview, Brendan Rodgers made the comment 'we like to play in a sporting way'. Someone should ask him how he views all the penalties Liverpool have had from Suarez dives.

If it wasn't for the fact that the streets of Liverpool will be lined by scarf borrowing, merrydown swiggin, helmets making out that they have been to every game, cried at every loss etc etc just to see Gerrard and co hold the trophy on a bus I would lose...

Liverpool deserve the league, but we don't deserve the shite off all the knob heads emerging from the wood work.

Made it all the more hilarious. Moyes tries to play passing football on his return to GP, Martinez out-Moyeses him.

    Fucking brilliant.

What's going on with referees and Liverpool this season? Against Norwich Liverpool got a free kick for anything where there was the slightest contact. Towards the end of the game Snodgrass (Norwich) got clattered from behind just outside the Liverpool penalty area - play waved on. I'm beginning to think there is a conspiracy somewhere to ensure Liverpool win the league this year.

See, this is the difference between Moyes, Neville, and crew versus Martinez. When Roberto left Wigan, it was all smiles for everyone. He made gracious comments about Dave Whelan, he spent time at local events to say goodbye to the fans, and he's praised Wigan more than once this season. It was the same when he visited Swansea, again making very positive comments about the team and their new manager. Not once has he criticized either team. When he looked to recruit McCarthy, he went about it in a very professional manner.

Cue David Moyes, who, upon leaving Goodison, talked immediately about how Everton feared OT (truth is, it was Moyes personally who feared OT), about how we were holding back Baines' and Fellaini's careers, and how we're only good because of what he's done. Now here's Phil Neville, who could be congratulating Everton for a fine season and for being in contention for Europe. Instead, he has to talk down to us, implying that we're a little club that can't handle pressure - presumably while United are a big club that can. It's so unnecessary. While I get frustrated with Haf's constant criticism of Moyes, I can understand it. Moyes and crew appear to have no people skills and simply don't know how and when to be gracious.

Well, this weekend, United will be under a lot of pressure to win. So let's see which team cracks under the pressure.

Can't remember where I read it but apparently there are only six Premiership teams who have been awarded more penalties this season than Suarez on his own.

So one rumour about a player and suddenly we know Roberto has no long term plan?
When did we start taking rumours as fact anyway?

We've been given a reduced allocation by Arsenal due to safety concerns. By reduced I mean about 4000 less tickets.

It's not safety concerns at all. They just didn't want 9000 away fans out singing their fans.

If they couldn't cope with a full allocation then the game should've had to be played behind closed doors.

They've used this excuse for each round so far. It's bull shit.

It doesn't matter if you have 70% possession if you don't have a shot at goal you will never win. Once we got near the penalty area it was as though the players were under orders not to shoot.

If the ref had given the penalty whoever took it would have passed it back.

Was going to go with Pienaar but seeing as going with the majority is frowned upon I went with Alex Nyarko.

This, hopefully we can go to Spurs now and get the three points there as well and we're in a good position again.

Thought it would turn nasty at one point, the players seemed completely devoid of ideas, boos at half time etc. Credit to players and fans though, everyone got behind the team 2nd half and things went much better on the pitch, completely deserved.

People slating the atmosphere above, I agree it's been poor at times and it was poor first half (not easy to get going after the week we've had), but second half it was rocking. Well, at least the Gwladys was. Soaking wet as well!

If you judge naismith in his preferred role then you can't fail to be impressed. The shite that lad gets and he just keeps doingbtge business. Appreciate him for what he is, a true squad player. Chuffed for the lad.

Dont think that there will be much guess work required, they will sit back and let us have 60 - 70 % possesion in harmles areas of the pitch and then hit us on the break at pace

Who would you rather have upfront Jelavic or Naismith?

I take your point about neither Jelavic or Hietinga not featuring much when everyone is fir, but the problem is that we have an horrendous injury list. Kone, Gibson and Oviedo are all out for the season and needed replacing, none of them have

I grant you the January window is a difficult one but there are players out there, we signed Arteta in January and he didnt do too badly. The club have known for months that Kone and Gibson are going to miss the season and I think its very dissapointing that they havent done anything to replace them. If we got an injury to either McCarthy or Barry we would be in big trouble

The bottom line is that if Evertons scouting network couldnt identify any replacements for Kone and Gibson then we shouldnt have sold Jelavic and Hietinga. Its just very frustrating that a promising start to the season is in real jeopardy of being derailed

With Moyes we'd have put some crosses in at least or tried to be more direct. Don't get me wrong, I want Martinez over Moyes every time and I have enjoyed the way we've been playing this season, but there has been an obvious lack of a plan B at times. I think we should try to play our game and control proceedings, but sometimes you need to adapt to the opponent and to the circumstances, or we run the risk of becoming too easy to counter as evidenced last night unfortunately.
