Dude... What?!? He was making a point about the absurdity that he's only asked about Ross (or Lukaku, or whoever is the media darling) and how it's unfair on the player. That's why he chose to talk about the team immediately afterward.

I'm voting Mike's mom on this one. I'm happy to hear her spirits are good and that she's doing alright after the fall. Ive had dinner with my grandma the past few nights, as she's in from Florida. She's got mobility issues from some spinal problems that have developed. Being so far away, we all worry ourselves sick that she will get herself into some trouble, since she likes to live in the fast lane down there. She just doesn't stop going! I feel for you, Mike. But, it seems like she's making the best out of these difficult years. It helps us, knowing that my grandma is enjoying herself and living how she prefers, even though in the immediate it can be frustrating. It sounds like your mom is doing things the same way. So, long may she stay happy and take things with grace!

Haha! I wasn't trying to prove any naysayers wrong. I think we're all pretty high on the player. I just thought I'd add to the discussion! The team can always improve, even if they win the league. We (but, really, Koeman) should hold them to higher standards accordingly. I did think it was funny to nitpick Gueye's performance after a match in which he only narrowly missed out at complete and utter perfection!

I believe he completed 101 out of 106 passes on Monday. That dwarfed every other player on the pitch. One of those was an assist. I believe 2 others could've been, as well. So, not only did he complete better than 95% of his passes, he also didn't send them all backwards or sideways. Oh, and he also made 5 tackles and thwarted many attacks with his running and positioning. Right now, he's invaluable to our play.

I was down on him when we were rumored to be signing him. But, even though he has those erratic qualities that made me doubt him, he's shown great determination and skill so far. The things I enjoy the most are how direct he is and how he always forces the defense to act. He's unpredictable (which can be a bad thing for the other players around him) and this either disrupts defenders' focus or forces them into making a move that leaves an opening for someone else. It's exciting. Regarding his crosses, no they aren't always perfectly accurate. But, they're generally very dangerous. He put in a few yesterday that dipped hard right around the six yard box and had their defenders throwing themselves about to deal with them. These are the kinds of balls that, even though they aren't exactly accurate, can allow us to make a goal out of nothing.

That ball from Kone to Gerry at the end was amazing. Shame Gerry took a terrible touch. I think he gets ahead of himself sometimes when trying to make something happen. As he gets more experienced, he should relax.

Great win. Wonderful to see Rom get off the mark in a big way. Another clean sheet will give more confidence to our back four. This is an important win, and I have the feeling that we've just gotten over a major hump.

That ball from Mirallas was something else! That finish from Rom was the exact type of finish he'd been putting right into the keeper. That was perfection though.

Excellent job by Gueye to be there supporting the attack. He's been showing up in those positions consistently tonight. Happy to see it pay off. Great header into the turf by Rom!

Kev to the 10 and Gerry to the right. Hopefully there's some interchange between the three.

It's called a non-compete clause in the US, and a Restraint of Trade clause in the UK. It's pretty common. Basically, you agree to not take agreed upon insider knowledge away from your employer to gain a competitive advantage over them. I would assume that this is the rule with scouting in the football business. I would also assume that it is time-limited and subject to negotiations between clubs when someone on staff leaves for another club. So, my assumption is that he was not to meddle in Leicester's transfer dealings for the summer window at the very least. It would be unfair to have used their resources to scout players and then take that information with him to bring those players to Everton. This is why these clauses exist.
