This is shit. One more thing that makes me wonder if I’m in a coma and having the worst of nightmares.
But, all I can do is hope that the big greaseball turns our season around now.

Walsh has shown nothing but the best judgment with regard to our transfers, so the club should definitely listen to him here.*

I would 100% take either of these over Schneiderlin, who has been nothing more than a passenger this season.
I think we need quick players up front, so I’d play Vlasic and Lookman. Maybe play Rooney in the hole and Sandro up front. These are all players who can move the ball around quickly (Rooney sometimes belies that though)

We’re embarrassing. This season is simply Everton testing my faith.

Watching Klaassen just jog around the pitch, he looks like a little kid “playing” with the adults. What the fuck is he doing?

I really don’t think Gana is the problematic part of the equation. Schneiderlin has been ghosting through games and playing like an absolute knob. I also don’t know that Davies is responsible enough to play alongside Gana. He has a lot of loose touches and brain farts. Besic has never shown that he can be relied upon. Gana with Baningame (I know I spelled this wrong) looks like a promising pair, if we are to play with two defensive midfielders. Or Gana with McCarthy, who we know is a strong, responsible player that never stops working .
I would rather see us play with an inverted triangle. Gana at the base, with two more advanced players ahead of him (preferably a healthy Ross Barkley and either Sigurdsson, should he ever get his game back, Vlasic, Lookman, or Klaassen).

Just to throw another stat in.  There is only one team in the league who has a worse goal difference than us and that is the bottom team, who outplayed us today.

Fat Sam has said he hasn't been contacted by Everton. So, unless he's obfuscating, it's likely rubbish.

There's also the possibility that some disgruntled fans have disingenuously initiated a bit of a witch hunt.
Let's be honest. We wouldn't doubt Mirallas engaging in the kind of behavior of which the rumor accuses him. And, we aren't surprised by Schneiderlin's possible involvement either, because he's been a chief reason why our midfield has been total shit this season and we're seeking a concrete reason as to why. We want to excise the malignant tumor and MEGA (Make Everton Great Again 😎).
I'm not saying I know this is a bullshit story. I'm just saying that everyone asked about it has denied it. And, we shouldn't rush to comforting conclusions. We should wait for more information before we know what to think or feel about the situation. Unsworth, for one, should be grilled as to why neither one of them was in the squad against Watford. Let's see what develops before setting fire to Mirallas and Schneiderlin.

If it's between Unsworth and Allerdyce... then there's no competition. Sam is a crook and is not meant for Everton.

Interestingly the last time we won anything without a former player in the boss's chair was in 1939 when we were managed by "committee".
I'm still firmly in the "give Unsy more time" camp.

When we attack or defend, we are not doing it as a team but rather as individual units.. The defence pass the ball to MD and they relinquish their duty and when MF pass the ball to 3rd quarter, they relinquish from their duty.. there is always a wide gap between the defence, MF and the attack...

I really don't think there's a manager out there who can turn this round. Schneiderlin, Keane, Williams, Klaasen, Sandro - there's your problem, our squad overhaul has been a disaster. No goals, no pace, individual errors at the back, how does anyone come in and solve that? I feel sorry for Unsworth, he's done as well as he could with the shite he's been given. Right now I wouldn't bet against us being relegated  I don't see a way out of this.

As someone also on the other side of the pond, I can say a large portion of other American fans tend to regard Everton as an afterthought. But, both cities I've lived in as an adult (Buffalo and Philadelphia) have great Everton supporters. It isn't the largest group of supporters (most American fans have only started following clubs in the past 10 years or so and tend to go with those clubs who have seen consistent success more recently), but we are dedicated, know the game, know the club, and we are like family. Side note: Here in Philly, we even have an Everton bar! It feels great to walk in there for any given match and see a crowd in their Everton gear, see Everton memorabilia all over the walls, and do nothing but talk Everton for a few hours.
That said, while my fellow Americans tend to treat Everton as an afterthought or a plucky underdog (in other words, with a disrespect indicative of their shallow engagement with the sport as a whole), the European transplants (mostly Spanish, Italian, and German, over the age of 30) I know have the utmost respect for Everton. Their disdain for clubs like Chelsea (a favorite of 18-year-olds everywhere) is palpable, too.
