We were saying something similar about building a team around the likes of Stones, McCarthy, Barkley and Lukaku a few years ago and look how that turned out
In all honesty I am excited about the future. The amount we're investing in the youth team alone is dwarfing our total transfer budgets of yesteryear.

He didn't do as bad at Spurs as you make out, which is why Pochettino went on record as saying he would be perfect for Spurs
He has had no pre season and he's playing out of position in a team that's still finding feet
I agree £45m was daft money but give the lad a chance

So you think Koeman put him on the pitch to demonstrate to everyone how shit he is and then got pissed off when Oumar produced the goods?
    Good grief.

It's exactly the same mate, and part of what makes it the same is that you can't see past your opinions. Regardless of the players strengths and facts to back the player up, both players do their jobs. 1 is a water carrier, the other was a goal scorer. Yet both should be better at their jobs despite statistically being in the top 3-5 at the job in the league. It's baffling.

Vranny got a reaction from markjazzbassist in ALCOHOL. Found any new drinks lately?
I've actually had some of the Anchor Steam stuff, but I've never even heard of the other breweries mentioned. I imagine it'd be the same if I started name dropping any craft/boutique breweries from Oz.
Stone, Founders and Sierra Nevada are the main 3 US breweries that I usually look for over here, but I imagine we'll be getting more and more stuff imported from you guys in the coming years.
In terms of personal taste I started off as a lager and golden ale person (find them too boring now), but I've really developed a taste for IPAs and other hoppy pales this last year. Always loved my stouts as well.
Also, regarding Fosters it started out as an Australian brew, but it's owned internationally now. It's always mentioned as a bit of an in joke for Australians that we keep our best beer here and export our worst  I don't think I've ever seen anybody in our country actually drink Fosters!

What have you been enjoying in the US Mark? We don't get stacks of American beer over in Australia, but I'm always keen to (potentially) try something new.

Highly thought provoking and controversial article this, but personally (probably get flamed for this) I have sympathy for these people. In my opinion nobody makes a conscious choice as to who they're attracted to to, it's hard wired in the brain; I've always been attracted to shorter women for example (among other attributes) but I could just as easily have been gay. To have an attraction you have no control over that's illegal and to not act on it because you know it's wrong must be a difficult way to live. I have no sympathy for those that do act on it though obviously.

I think Barry is the only one in the squad somewhat capable of doing Schneiderlin's role if he gets injured too.

With the amount of change going through our squad I honestly wouldn't mind if we leave our full-backs for 6-12 months. I don't want too much upheaval in the squad :/

I completely agree with the whole western world looking out for itself sentiment, but in this case two Australians died in the attacks, so I'm assuming the primary reason for the minute silence was this, rather than to show support for the UK.

It sounds bad, but we need to beat Swansea to keep them in the shit, so we can take Sigurdsson off them (not to mention it'll help keep Hull up and increase our chances of getting rid of Niasse).

Agree, should be looking to get a silly amount of money plus him if Chelsea want to deal. I'd like Martial with him seemingly out of Mourinho's plans.

Takes the extra touch in midfield which gives him a bit of space and others time to move, but in that final third his extra touch is just slowing him down too much.
Decent game but can still improve.
Really should have scored, gutted for him that he didn't, but still three points.

Both Zelda games? I also loved Banjo Kazooie as a kid. Also, never actually played it, but I've often heard a lot of hype around Mario 64. It was definitely the age of the platformer/adventure game.

Generalising here, but I tend to find the best macro beers are from Germany, while the best micro/boutique are from the US and Australia. I live in Australia though, so most of the fancier beers available here are from those two countries.

I think for creativity in midfield we need someone to provide now, but I wouldn't mind seeing a younger striker come into the squad, considering they're only likely to be a back up for Rom.

From what I hear Gabbiadini is a left footer that can also play behind the striker, or on the right, so he'd give the squad a few different options.

It's an incomparable situation. The Portugese league has much looser regulations regarding transfers for non-Euro players. Brazil and Argentina is bursting at the seems with young, cheap, unproven talent, but English leagues are effectively only able to transfer in the proven ones (e.g. players from these countries making a certain percentage of appearances for the national team, or if their transfer cost is over £10 mil I believe?). Porto and Benfica get a lot of their talent on the cheap this way.

Their league also allowing third party ownership of players is another huge difference over the PL. Leads to a lot of teams only needing to pay, say half the amount when bringing in their players.
