Very interesting watch; silly headline though, suggests some sort of deep dark plan when in fact it's really just a little bit of subconscious bias. It's a very small part of the discussion and probably the least engaging bit of the 46 minutes for me.

Don't wish to seem insensitive (although I reckon if anyone's entitled to be blunt on the issue it's me), but does anyone else feel it's a little odd for Sven-Göran Eriksson to be joining the "Liverpool legends management team" for their charity game against Ajax? It's the sort of thing clubs do for ten year olds with leukemia and the like isn't it, not seventy-five year old terminally ill ex-international managers. Will he be allowed to wear full kit I wonder?

Where you say, "Where you seem to have got the idea that I have in some way said he should be sacked is beyond me..." is beyond me. I didn't say that you said that I said that you said any such thing, just pointing out that (in my opinion as opposed to anyone else's because i'd not dream of putting words into anyone's mouth) an Everton manager with 19 points from 24games would, under normal circumstances, be under pressure.

If we were in our current position with no points deduction contributing to it then we'd have been performing far worse than we have been in reality, and there'd be a case for sacking him. It's not as if he's responsible for us losing the points after all, but he is responsible for us largely negating the penalty.

Watching the first penalty back in slo-mo it gets even more ridiculous, ref doesn't appear to give it for the "offence" at all and starts off following play. Then, Chelsea striker trips over the leg the defender has used to clear the ball, and the penalty is given. Neither incident was an offence of any description, but to give it for the second one, as she appears to do, is beyond laughable.

I think the very fact that we're chasing 399, away to arguably the best team in the world, and are still not viewed as out of it (CricViz gives us a 12% chance) shows that we've rewritten the test match rulebook, exciting stuff.

Women getting stitched up as well now, two "penalties" today for Chelsea which never were.
