  1. You don't need to sign up....if you're registered on the OS you can post . So I did. Four times...politely joing the criticism of Milky/Mod_02 in two of them. Now I appear to be banned....no explanation....just won't let me post .
  2. Think there's a lot of merit in this. Clattenberg springs to mind . http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/17032010/58/international-football-ref-face-death-penalty.html
  3. Maybe he should have chosen to go elsewhere... http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_4035083,00.html
  4. It's breathtaking. He's deleting, editing and closing posts and threads like an ADHD sufferer armed with a kalashnikov . Disagree with him and you're toast. Any other site it'd be hilarious but the fact that it's part of the OS makes it just embarrassing.
  5. Hate it when that happens. Few (quite a few) years back I had a Peugeot 309, nothing special but it worked well, never let me down. Then a great aunt died and I came in to about £2,500....bought a great looking 405 SRi. Pile of shite . Ended up just parked outside our house while I ran the 309 again (which fortunately I'd not sold). Then one day the dustmen drove into the side of it (the 405), took the whole side off and I thought, "yeah, written off, money back!" but the insurance company got it fixed. Sold it for a £1,000 loss . Still hurts. Bought a "project" VW Camper with the money I got back. Lost on that as well :crying_anim: . Depressed now....going to bed.
  6. The classic '60's shirt for me....though I'm sat here typing in my Dixie era one which I like a lot. Modern times I liked the 03/04 Puma Kejian...was simple, round neck, white trim, no clever stuff (and a proper amber/blue away kit as well).
  7. BBC reckon it's going to be Iain Dowie....unveiled tomorrow. Like the bloke myself but he's not got a great managerial record so far.
  8. If you read the rest of 250's post think you'll find he was being sarcastic .
  9. Chelsea out. Never looked like winning it. If you think the rich getting richer is a win situation then yes .
  10. It is a new thing, but I suspect the punters getting the chance to see more matches is just a side-effect of the real reason....UEFA trying to rake in more folding stuff off the TV companies .
  11. These... http://www.economycarhire.com/?gclid=CMOW2uvKvaACFZFh4wodlkk83A Cost more for a single day though....price drops the longer you book it for. No doubt that picking a car up direct is always the way to go if it can fit the budget.
  12. It's less white than the Lineker season "bib" shirt....but that was horrendous admittedly .
  13. Easyjet are rarely the cheapest car hire option in my experience, even when they have offers. I'm paying £18 a day next week for a Peugeot 207, Europcar wanted £26 for a Fiesta.

  15. Didn't see it but sounds par for the course....the beeb... 2134: Michael Brown - not everybody's favourite player by any stretch - has clearly got up Steven Gerrard's nose and, for my money, the Liverpool skipper is lucky to remain on the field after slamming a forearm into the back of the Pompey midfielder's head. Referee Stuart Atwell gives the foul but nothing more, and I have to say that's a big let-off. Rafael Benitez immediately subs Gerrard and on comes Yossi Benayoun.
  16. BBC online on Liverpool/Pompey... "Quite a few empty seats dotted about Anfield, by the way, which is a little bit surprising given the magnitude of this match, no?" There's no way they won't win this one though.
  17. Maybe we could tell Galaxy that he's torn his achilles and can't come back....then we could start playing our little known Canadian Brandon Sullivan on the right. Famous in football circles because he always plays in dark glasses and a trilby, refuses to do interviews and wears a false moustache when he arrives at and leaves the ground . Could work .
  18. Wonder why "gardening leave" though ? Don't see the point for him or the club....why not just sack him?
  19. Lost that one (Leeds joining the "big two" party this year) . But now they're in the important one http://www.evertonfc.com/match/report/0910/everton-ladies-v-barnet-ladies On TV normally....worth a watch I think.
  20. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/8567353.stm Shame for him. I don't think it'll seriously affect our chances...won't win it without him but we wouldn't have won it with him .
  21. Villa and City dropping points....missed opportunity this week-end. Spurs look to be in the best position for fourth now, but they still have to play Arsenal, Chelsea and United. We have to win our four remaining home games....then if we can pick up eight or nine points on our travels would give us 62/63 points which should be enough for seventh. Then it comes down to who wins the Cup as to whether we get the Europa place. There's a bit of me that hopes we don't quite make it so that we can give the league our full attention next year....I've never subscribed to that view before but I just think we could be on the verge of a special season with a little bit of luck.
  22. Was thinking along the same lines...that and the fact that it says, "News of the World" at the top of the page. I'd be more concerned if I saw it in "The Beano."
  23. http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/football/754703/FERGIE-WANTS-BOTH-OF-EVERTONS-PRODIGIES.html
  24. "I'm 28 years old now and I've played over 100 times for my country, I've also played a lot of league games in different parts of the world. But I've never met a fan-base like this, either playing for them or as an away player..." That's sig material . Nice piece.
