  1. http://www.sport.co.uk/features/Football/839/Should_Fabio_Capello_take_a_look_at_Everton%E2%80%99s_Leon_Osman.aspx Something else to think about....only one player has played in all eight of our wins over the "big four" in the last six years. Guess who it is ? (three clues...it's not Yobo, TC or Hibbo)
  2. For the sake of not much more than John Terry earns in a day. Something wrong somewhere . http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/chester/8559704.stm Good luck to the new club, hope they get back to a decent level....it's possible; Aldershot & AFC Wimbledon for example.
  3. One tiny example (I could come up with another thousand/million if I had the time). Substituting "Roo" for "you" when talking about Rooney. I refuse to believe that any newspaper that abuses English like that is well written. It's infantile shite (imho).
  4. Love it . Nice way to start the day. We already knew it of course but it's nice to see a journo picking up on it .
  5. Advertising costs money and it costs money to run this site. You wanted free advertising for personal profit however you dress it up. If you were an Evertonian, an active site member or had asked if it was OK to post it may have been acceptable (possibly in exchange for a small donation). Still may be....send Louis a pm and see what he says .
  6. They're going to get the three points at Portsmouth tonight so we'll be back below them come kick-off <_< .
  7. Feed the Grar and he will score !
  8. He's played 185 games in six seasons, that's thirty plus a year during our most successful period for twenty years. Came seventh in our player of the season last year behind Pienaar, Jagielka, Fellaini, Baines, Arteta and Cahill and won four man of the matches. If you're suggesting we should only keep players who are cemented into a first team place we'd have a squad of eleven. We need depth and he's a very decent player.
  9. No-one shouts biggot (sic) louder than a bigot .
  10. I said he's one of ours (by which I mean he's been with us since he was fifteen/sixteen) which he is.
  11. And Carragher's a Blue . Ancient history. Peter Reid was Red, I'd like to see someone tell him that that means he still is.
  12. Prospect of seventh place finish being a Europa spot increased a tiny bit today by the news that if Pompey were to win the FA Cup they couldn't take up the place....nothing to do with administration apparently, they've just not done the neccessary paperwork . They're a long-shot anyway. The nightmare scenario for us is Fulham winning it, or (worse) we take Villa to finish seventh but then they win it . Best to be on the safe side....go Chelsea!
  13. It's not like it'll inconvenience him....the club will provide him with a driver I'm sure. I'd do it...as long as he didn't witter on too much about the "God is Great" stuff <_< .
  14. Just set up the speech recognition software on my laptop...brilliant! It's going to save me loads of time . Just used it to make the following post....few gremlins in the works so I typed this bit just to clarify but I'm sure you'd have all understood the following... A second speech recognition will run Nat are instantly much warningly well Mrs. Close only later: a long one Renison intention Aunt Lilian let alone limiting the to own one on our Lionel not you will calls dollar John second level attitude I'll. That last sentence was actually "Mikel Arteta was man of the match against Birmingham" (Waits for some wit to say, "That's the most sense you've made on here in years Mike!")
  15. You're not the first person to mention Ossie. How anyone can consider letting him go after his performance against ManU is totally beyond me. Shows what he's capable of....you can say he doesn't do it often enough but he's not the sort of player who's going to excel when we're playing badly. As part of an Everton on form (which will hopefully be most of the time now) he's a huge asset....not an automatic choice like Arteta & Pienaar but a great squad member. Plus he's one of ours, which counts for something imo.
  16. This is likely to be very quickly pulled by Youtube.....but while it lasts... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mP7UvVKW-wg&feature=player_embedded#at=84
  17. The bubble has burst for Birmingham. They had a great run but it was never sustainable for me and they've lost three of the six league games they've had since they put us out of the cup, not to mention going out of the cup themselves to Pompey. A win would put us only four points behind Liverpool and could possibly get us very close to Villa (tough game at Stoke). Would really put us in the mix . If we turn up we'll win 3-1....even if we have an off day I think we'll get a point.
  18. Welcom GG&B....we'e got a decent level of Aussies on here already, not sure if any are from Sydney though .
  19. Momentous birthday mate....enjoy it .
  20. Indeed...deserves it's own thread....and now has one . http://www.toffeetalk.com/index.php?showtopic=20361

    Hull City

Had a read back of the original Heitinga thread....from rumour to the deal being done. Someone was so way off the mark (and to be fair he's admitted it since) but these made me laugh given Johnny's impact...the name's been omitted to protect the innocent .
  22. Appreciate you taking the time out to post that DG.....nice one . Stark contrast to an abject performance at Hull about three and a half months ago after which we were level with them on points and only had one win in ten . 'Asked if his team was too good to go down, Moyes was far from bullish. "I dont know," he said.'
