  1. Appreciate you taking the time out to post that DG.....nice one . Stark contrast to an abject performance at Hull about three and a half months ago after which we were level with them on points and only had one win in ten . 'Asked if his team was too good to go down, Moyes was far from bullish. "I dont know," he said.'
  2. Happens to me also from time to time...seemingly random. Don't know why .

Funny how people see things differently....this is from The Independent's match report... '"He's still improving all the time and he's not even there yet," Moyes said of Arteta, though Leon Osman was the outstanding player before he strained his groin in the course of contributing to Everton's second goal gathering and distributing to Victor Anichebe, whose short ball Steven Pienaar rolled under his studs for Arteta to dispatch. Arteta's first involved Osman too; the midfielder distributing to Yakubu Ayegbeni, whose lofted cross Arteta volleyed into the pitch and over Hull goalkeeper Boaz Myhill. Had Yakubu shown the same presence of mind in front of goal, it might have been worse for Phil Brown's side, though the Nigerian flashed a left-foot shot against Myhill's left post after Osman had squeezed a ball through..' Ian Herbert does seem to be pretty much alone in thinking that as far as I can see .
  4. According to this http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=28621537016 as of Jan this year he's eligible for British nationality and so could play for England . He'd never do it sadly....but he deserves to play international football one day.

5-1....the big question is... How shit were we to lose to these?

Be nice to get a bit of movement in the GD column now ....might make all the difference. (Packed my fantasy team with Everton players this morning because of our run-in....only allowed four transfers though and I did Baines, Pienaar, Yakubu & Heitinga...not Arteta )

  12. "There has been talk" is a bit tenuous for me. Plus the question of why DM would want to sign a thirty-five year old with one foot in the knackers yard and the other permanently in his mouth? Not a cat in hell's chance.

The OS is playing up....can only see the headline, "Jags back in Starting XI" Edit...got it now... Howard, Neville, Heitinga, Baines, Jagielka, Distin, Arteta, Osman, Pienaar, Anichebe, Yakubu. Subs: Nash, Hibbert, Yobo, Bilyaletdinov, Donovan, Gosling, Rodwell. Good options on the bench....though hopefully we won't need them.
  14. Lawrence Olivier's version of Henry V just started on BBC2. During the Agincourt scene, when the evil French come into the English camp and burn all the tents and kill all the squires... "'Tis certain there's not a boy left alive; and the cowardly rascals that ran from the battle ha' done this slaughter:" ...the lad you see running, then dead while Olivier makes his speech... "I was not angry since I came to France Until this instant...." ...is my dad at sixteen . ( My mistake....it was the (inferior) Kenneth Brannagh version  )
  15. I see Martin O'Neill's crying because Villa have "7,000" games in March. One every "two and a half days" apparently. "We have got no midweek games in April at the moment but something like 7,000 in March, I've been reminded that we haven't won a game in March since I've been here. We'll now have an opportunity every two and a half days to change that." Actually they have six games in March which is one every five days . Strange one....pressure getting to him? (Incidentally we played seven games in October, seven in December, six in January and six in February and I can't remember DM complaining)
  16. http://www.eatsleepsport.com/everton/moyes-linked-with-double-swoop-1034157.html Glad to see we've kick started Sporting's season btw....they beat Porto 3-0 last time out <_< .
  17. http://www.imscouting.com/global-news-article/Chelsea-plan-10m-bid-for-on-loan-Everton-forward-Landon-Donovan/6256/ WTF ?
  18. http://www.imscouting.com/global-news-article/Report-Standard-Liege-ponder-move-for-Evertons-Gosling/6257/ Didn't realise his contract was running out. Not his biggest fan but he seems to have filled out and got a bit stronger recently. I'd keep him (don't believe I said that ).

  20. And finally Grimsby respond with a win....their first in any competition since September. They'll be dancing in the streets tonight !
  21. Agreed. They are fake sadly...away and third looked nice also . Sign the guy (Zoran apparently ) up LCS!
  22. Saw this on another site....no idea at all if it's genuine or not. Seems a bit early for the annual leak but against that it seems to be a variation on the "bib" shirt that followed the white V in the '80's so that gives it a slight whiff of being genuine. We'll see...if it is for real it's a big improvement on this years for me.
  23. Only because we've been lucky in that Tim's not been injured.
  24. Mark Lawrenson in his Everton/Hull preview... "One week Everton are capable of beating Chelsea or Manchester United, then they go and mess up in Europe. They need to bounce back a bit, but they'll finish in the top 10." I wonder how much he gets paid for such insightful comment ?
