I don't see him going to Liverpool though cause Mou sees them as a direct threat, we are less of a threat in his mind i gather. Agreed its OTT to an extent about announcing this but how are they supposed to do it? Lukaku is good enough for Chelsea though......A player who has had 2 full seasons in the premier league to score 19 and 15 goals is a good return. At Chelsea he will be getting better deliveries from the likes of Hazard, Oscar, Willian and Fabregas but for some reason Jose won't give him a chance. Maybe he doesn't fit into Chelsea's defending style of play.

The brief appearances I've seen him make for Barca have been a let down for me. He's talked up massively but I see nothing special about him. Not a bad player like, just nowhere near being what I thought I was going to see.

There's taking pressure off a player and then there's tearing them down in public. The fact is, along with Ox, he was always wanting to be positive in his play and move us forward, always making himself available for a pass. Always looking to be involved in the play will make him susceptible to making mistakes, it comes with the territory, but he never hides after making a mistake, he always looks to get right back on the ball. Ross got a wonderful assist and played very well, but all Hodgson wants to do is tear him down for the world to see (despite him having a 91% pass completion rate, he must try harder next time obviously!). Meanwhile tweedle dee and tweedle dumb at the heart of our defence play like shithouses and not a bad word is said about them. In fact, one of the useless pricks is praised for his performance! How does any of that benefit Ross? How does it benefit England? It doesn't. The best thing to do would have been to speak to him in private about the negative aspects of his game last night.

Martinez must be tearing his hair out - he's spent the season carefully nurturing Barkley and now he's in the hands of this oaf.

I wouldn't want to see Lescott back at Everton to be honest, I think it could scupper Stones potential also.

There's McCarthy's worth there. I personally thinks he's brilliant. He reminds me of my all time favourite blue Joe Parkinson. In my opinion McCarthy is our most important player and the hardest to replace in our team.

Lukaku is a decent footballer but he does lack some attributes.

Strong - can hold a ball up and wait for support.
Quick - runs like hell and with his strength defenses struggle.
Finish - his finish is good and he knows where the net is to shoot.
 
Cons:
Passing - the amount of times we were on the counter and he gave it to the opposition.
Touch - when he does get the ball most of the time his touch is terrible it will go 2-3 feet in front of him.
Jumping - for a big fella I don't see him jump much.
