Coleman has needed competition and to be replaced for a number of seasons. This situation hasn't crept up on us.
For whatever reason, and I am sure there are reasons, we have kicked this can down the road year after year and now we are looking at someone who isn't even a RB in order to provide cover.
I am sure everyone is trying but that effort certainly hasn't been effective.
we've needed a replacement since koeman had cuco martina there. that's how long we've needed it. i don't know why Brands is neglecting this position. Coleman is an everton great no doubt, but he is old and gets injured a lot.

You would rather keep him sulking in the shadows? And keep paying his wage?
Not for me. If he doesn’t want to play for us and isn’t going to add anything to the team… then I would rather he go.
Don't really care who sells him, Brands, Rafa, Bill…. Makes no difference to me.
Bad business would be to keep him and let his worth keep falling.no no you misunderstand or i typed poorly. i'm with you, i want him sold. my issue (and it seems @Palfy as well) is that when we bought him we got him for what was considered a bargain fee for a player of his age, calibre, and with his ceiling. there was no doubting that. Brands did well to get the fee and all this and the media even said "good deal". we were also led to believe he could be worth well more than that if he continues his growth. he did that at PSG. at everton it's been up/down and some issues. so i'm expecting we sell him for his initial fee plus 5-10m because again he's better and has grown and did well at PSG but he didn't tear the roof off, so a little more than the fee. that's how most transfers are (hell even just regular old inflation too). here's where the issue is, now we are selling for less than we paid, but being told "good deal". i'm not buying that this is a good deal. minimum we should get the fee we sold him for, Juve have big time money and just sold ronaldo (lot of wages freed up).

They were assessing his hamstring and quads so if it is a toe injury the physio needs to go back to Uni!

The soft schedule continues with Burnley at home. We had 34% possession last match and that won't work at home against Burnley. I am interested to see how Rafa sets us up and orders the players to play knowing Burnley will be sat back. Hopefully the knock DCL had isn't too bad and we get Mina/Godfrey/others back healthy.
Pickford
Coleman Holgate Godfrey Digne
Iwobi Doucoure Allan Gray
Richarlison DCL

allan. other standouts were Gray, Doucoure, Holgate, and Pickford.

On my reckoning we’ve lost just over £10 million and on top of that what ever we’ve paid him in wages, we don’t eek a small profit we lose 40+%
you and I both know if steve walsh did this he would be getting ripped apart on here, Brands does it and it's seen as a good move

the tactic is clear, give them the ball, we had 34% possession. we are a counter attacking team. today it worked. happy with the win and Gray in particular, really loving that signing, 1.5m.

How will we see how he deals with it? It will be dealt with internally if it is.
if he doesn't do it again we will know it was dealt with, it's basic logic. this is the 2nd (or 3rd?) time he's done this.

pickford has done well today bar that hairstyle

Richarlison needs a fucking bollocking at FT, not the first time that he's hogged the ball when we win a penalty and thrown a tantrum because he can't take it. All it does it put pressure on us and takes it away from the opposition, fair play to DCL for blocking it out and putting us two ahead.
Honestly boils my piss stuff like that, would be ripping into him in the changing room.
rafa supposed to be a no-BS manager and hard man, we will see if he deals with it or not. let's hope that's the last we see of that behavior from richi.

well done DCL

Will Real Madrid up their offer? His future hinges on it. It seems money is no object to PSG they’d rather keep mbappe and try to win the CL and let him leave on a free. Pretty wild.
after richi’s tantrum today one could assume richi wants out.
