Who would have thought that Biden would turnout to be just as big a fool than Trump, for political bullshit he chose 9/11 as the date to completely withdraw from Afghanistan like it was some sort of symbolic game and would make him look good in the annuals of history, Truly fucked up by doing that with no plan in place, now  the Americans are re-enacting Saigon 1975 running for their lives and leaving  thousands who helped them to be slaughtered, Biden needs to be put in a care home to live out his last few years, at least Trump had the foresight    to say they would negotiate a deal with the Taliban before they left.

i think this national security advisor said it best, it's not on the USA, it's on the afghans.

"Despite the fact that we spent 20 years and tens of billions of dollars to give the best equipment, the best training and the best capacity to the Afghan national security forces, we could not give them the will," Sullivan said on NBC. "And they ultimately decided that they would not fight for Kabul and they would not fight for the country."

Speaking as an American fan, it is the club’s connection with U.S. players that initially attracted me to Everton.

same, tim howard for me.  landon donovan after him, and recently antonee robinson through our academy.  it's a big market and we would be smart IF we sign Hoppe to make overtures there.  play some more friendlys there, stage an event, etc.  americans change their loyalties all the time, it could be that easy to win over some new fans.

  3. Leeds away I’m sure it will be rocking at elland road.  I missed the last match so I’ll just guess how we are gonna lineup here until I get a good feel for Rafa lineups

                      Pickford

    coleman keane mina digne

    Townsend Doucoure allan  richarlison

                  Gray   Dcl

FWIW Walcott played great for Southampton last season. They like him there. Part of the problem is as you describe but the other part is on the club to put these guys in a position to be successful.  A small example but look what happened with Josh King last year. He didn’t get the opportunity he was led to believe would be there by Carlo and so comes off as uninvolved/ineffective.

i think a lot of it is the players around them too.  peak aaron ramsey, ozil feeding them balls and creating, peak giroud pulling defenders.  it helps to make an average player look better.  it's why i'm always skepitcal buying players from the top 6 in the premier league.

  5. when we bought him i said he was the same as the other arsenal players that were big upped, theo walcott, Alex Ox, Jack Wilshere, alex iwobi.  just because they played for aresenal and most were english everyone big upped them, i said they were all shite, people said i was an idiot.  you look at my statement today and you see i was correct.

I think our medal tally just dropped from 65 to 64.

It’s really gotten silly.  The whole Russian team dopes and they just compete as Russian Olympic team or something, but the fact is, they are doping!

either make all the doping legal or ban anyone for life if it’s a sure fire offense.  The whole Russian team?  Yeah ban them.  Watch, you do that people might actually take it serious and play by the rules when there are actual consequences.

He knew what he was getting into.

agreed, in addition he's wanted this for a while, he lives in the area, able to work close to his family instead of the apartment in newcastle/china and seeing the family only on weekends.  as much as i don't like the guy, i do wonder if the work/life balance will make him work even harder to get this to work right since he won't ever get another situation (unless he wants to manage tranmere or marine fc, unlikely).

That is a drum I will beat with you all day long. Be it engineered or natural, the Chinese government treated the situation like the USSR did Chernobyl, they tried to handle it quietly internally until the genie was literally out of the bottle and had to be acknowledged.  Fucked up the world six ways to Sunday.

spot on with the chernobyl comparison.  its telling that even moderate and liberal media in the states (and medical professionals) refuse to rule out the lab theory as well.  i read in depth stuff from people who study it, they said it's completely viable.  which is absolutely disgusting.

moved up 10 spots to 10th in FIFA rankings, which may be a little high, but I'll take it. Now I don't understand how Mexico moved up 2 spots to 9th, ranked a head of us. I mean they lost to both our A team and our B team

the formula is the past 4 years results, so we got more wins but throughout the last 4 years mex probably has more.  it's a wacky formula and not reliable, but like you said, i'll take it as well.  just hope when we play some actual good teams from south america or europe we can win.

I think you’re right it will be the new version of the flu shot. It never seems to amaze me how as humans we constantly seem to mess up and cause havoc with the world we live in.

We all should take blame for spreading it, but the WHO did the report and it originated in Wuhan.  Either at the west market or at that lab.  It would be nice if they took some responsibility and faced some repercussions.  We all know that won’t happen.

Watched a cracker of a documentary on Netflix last night .... "Malice at the palace".   Basically in 2004 a riot took place at a basketball game.  Absolute insanity.

Be interested to hear the views of the US posters here - my take on it was that the Pacers players were well in their rights to do what they did.  The fan who threw the drink literally started carnage.

Yeah, I remember it.  The fans crossed the line and assaulted the players by throwing their drinks at them.  They deserved any punch that was thrown at them.

it’s only gotten worse.  In basketball fans are being banned for life because they are cussing out/speaking bad about the players wives/kids and the players go nuts.  Fans trying to get under their skin so they mess up and their team wins.  It’s really stupid.

there is a certain level of respect you need to have as a fan.  Go figure Americans find a way to ruin that.
