The Olympics coverage in the US is always terrible. They only broadcast events where the US is participating, usually only events they're winning. I remember the days of watching the Olympics in Britain where everything is covered. That breadth of events is completely lost in the US, which is such a shame. Last night, for example, it was the US winning at beach
basketballvolleyball on all channels. There were plenty of more interesting events going on, but they were totally ignored.Yeah and it’s on the delay so you see the results online but you can’t watch till at night when they given you an abridged version. Don’t worry though, plenty of ads to quell that capitalist spirit!

That was a pretty big win, seeing what the squad was during the Gold Cup. I don't think anyone on that roster would make the starting Xi, and maybe only a few would make the bench. But that was a great tourny for that group, and Berhalter. They had to just grind out results in almost every match. Really good experience and looks promising for depth.
I think it was a big loss for Mexico, rough summer for their homophobic chanters, losing cup finals to both the USA 1st and 2nd teams. Hate it for em. Tata may be in the hot seat, he is something like 30-3-4 but 2 of those loses are to us in Cup finals this summer. I'd love it if they ran Tata off, because I think he is a great manager.
i think Tata is excellent as well, i really like his style and tactics. I think for the time being we just have the stronger player pool, they have a lot of aging players and too young players, they are where we were during the last WQ qualifying. It's looking good for us, we need a strong WQ qualifying campaign, hopefully the Hex is forgiving this time around.

Even many Spurs fans have sided with Kane on this. Obviously you are gonna get loads calling him for all-sorts but he had an agreement with Levy..... Which clearly doesn't count for much.
and they should, he's been a model citizen and just wants some silverware at his age, i don't blame him.

yeah i'm wondering if they can afford both of them as well, 200m in addition to what i'm asssuming will be other additions? anyone big being sold by them?

Spurs on the other hand depends on whether Kane moves on (which I think is unlikely).
Kane didn't show for training so looks likely that he is pushing for a move. Good on him, i wouldn't trust a single thing that snake Levy said.

Well we won the gold cup. You got to give berhalter credit, he has been dogged in the press since he got the job but he is producing. I’m excited for WQ qualifying now.

This is a bit bad.

But on the same subject; the west went into Afghanistan to remove the Taliban from power, and now the Taliban are resurgent we're all pulling out? What exactly was the point of the last twenty years?
Yeah I’ve been reading articles all week about all the interpreters we left behind. What we did like was waste trillions of tax payer dollars to do nothing. We could have ended poverty and improved education, no we give overinflated contracts to defense firms and go to war. America.

Knocked out by Canada I see, bit of a shock.
Total shock, I wouldn’t be surprised if they fire their manager.

Waffles are Belgian not American I thought. We eat toast (with butter) or cereal for breakfast. I don’t eat waffles really.

Like last time, the Super League would be an absolute disgrace to football but am I that arsed? Not really. The "Big Six" have been taking the piss and doing what they feel like for years (perhaps decades now). Even though it would ruin football as I know it, them fucking off and us having an actual fair domestic league wouldn't be all too bad.
This is where I am too. Get the greedy fuckers out, have the teams that want real and fair competition to stay in. The super league will be a bore fest and a failure in time. No one wants to see that shit. The underdog upsets are what gets people into sports.

Been looking at all the training vids. It looks like the coaching staff have been enjoying the canteen as much as Rafa has.
I literally spit out my toast laughing so hard when I read that

if benitez bins him, he might as well bin himself. this team has 0 creativity without James or Gylfi (out for the forseeable future). it will be back to fat sam days praying for a draw.

Just as well we have a DoF then
Don’t trust him either with it!

We are only strapped financially because of FFP, so if we were to sell him we would be able to spend the money. The hard bit is convincing a top player to join the club.
Which is why it’s better to keep him. I also don’t trust Rafa with 100m.

Massive flop at inter Milan he went back to Brazil. He’s got his career back on track but this would be a big risk. Now if it’s cheap sure it’s worth it to try and see if he’s got what it takes but 30m? That’s a no from me. If we are gonna spend 30m get McNeil.

If we sell who we replace him with would be my issue.
We won’t, it will be like lukaku. Especially now that we are strapped financially.

There may be better at lower prices but we’d be getting our pants pulled down if we sold for £70m. He’s 24 scoring about 1 in 3, usually from the wing, in the most ‘competitive’ league and is a starter for Brazil. We need to play hardball with any team after Richarlison - there’s not many like him.
this all the way. 100m+, kane is 28, richarlison is 4 years younger and still improving.

Though I agree with that, I want the manager to set the tone with penalty takers and leave no confusion about who takes it. Should never even get as far as the captain needing to step in.
Agreed but if someone gets an idea I don’t want a non confrontational nice guy, I want someone who will make it right.

Do they not need to use their money to buy a CB though...they lost Ramos and Varane.
They got Alaba in early doors

I can't see any team meeting whatever valuation Everton have of Richarlison this summer.
Real Madrid just got 41m for Varane, I think they will have enough dough.

Someone who wants to mess with who exactly? You're making no sense mjb.
No change there
Just read it back and I even confused myself lol
i want an alpha and a vocal leader. A person who won’t tolerate penalty stealing antics and who players will get behind.

Flakiness. I think it’s a generational thing, where millennials (of which I am one) don’t understand the concept of “giving your word”. Their word is meaningless and not trustworthy. I was raised you only said something if you meant it.
