  1. Wow what a match. Naisy proving me wrong and RM showing some verve with the 433. I really think if we don't come out and dominate we will need Lennon on to help defensively. I would like either mirallas or Gerry on at some point to give our attack even more pace. I love this end to end stuff.
  2. Ffs I knew that was coming. We will need proactive subs in the second half, this high tempo will wear some out. I'm loving the speed of our play and Ross transition play.
  3. Just woken up to this, COYB!! Who scored for us?
  4. i would have taken it in a heartbeat. he's a squad player, to get that much for him we could have gotten an ample replacement that can actually pass and link up play.
  5. got a gig till 1am tonight and the game is on at 6:45am. should be interesting to see what state i am in while watching
  6. that makes sense why his touch is bad, he was rushed into playing and was doing so well that he didn't have the time and slow u-21's work to learn those skills. good article and insight.
  7. yeah i think we've got a real shot to beat them while they're down.
  8. We aren't a buying club either. The standard 20m transfer budget isn't anything to write home about and our current financial situation means we can't be paying out bigger wages to lure in players either. So in essence we are only a selling club when we need actual difference making players for the starting 11 (fellaini for Lukaku)
  9. http://www.espnfc.us/blog/tactics-and-analysis/67/post/2476622/premier-league-dominance-is-down-to-wages-but-can-be-broken good article. doesn't talk about transfer spending but instead that wages are what determine position. top 4 wages get top 4 position the vast majority of the time.
  10. Spot on Keith. I think JK is fired if we lose the confederate cup playoff which looks likely. Mexico tied a full strength Argentina side and regardless of their form their country just won't accept defeat I fear. Yeah our players are bad, we miss Fabian (injured) and Dempsey a lot!! As far as Bradley goes for me I think he can be the creative ACM if need be, but he might be better suited to be a DCM and try someone else in the creative slot.
  11. arsenal's fullbacks attack and they play 451, with one holding mid arteta/coquelin who is also a playmaker. this whole 2 DCM thing is a myth. same with Man city, Fernandinho is the only DCM, yaya doesn't defend he's box to box like ross would be in the lineup i put above.
  12. yes i see this match as either a complete disaster or some sort of beautiful fluke win, i don't see a grind it out draw. either we win or lose big, your move RM
  13. http://www.espnfc.us/fifa-world-cup/story/2603435/prince-ali-confirms-fifa-presidency-bid prince ali is running, i hope he wins

  15. yes and that's exactly what i've said, he's like a poor man's busquets, he can defend and pass and move the ball. we woudln't need 2 sitting DCM's with him. But Barry has to retire first, and Mccarthy has to be sold otherwise he's just redunant for a team not playing CL. New GK COleman Stones Jags Baines Besic Barkley Lennon Gerry Mirallas Lukaku That's what i want.
  16. the last round of WC qualifying is done, 2 more to go. USA now enters the fray CONCACAF World Cup qualifying fourth-round: Group A: Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, Canada Group B: Costa Rica, Panama, Haiti, Jamaica Group C: United States, Trinidad and Tobago, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Guatemala very winnable group, only need to place 1 or 2 to advance to the hex and i'm very confident even on our shite form we will still advance to the hex. I can see Mexico, Honduras, Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica advancing as well.
  17. yeah she's also the longest serving human to not smile, queen of one of the most powerful nations in the world and still unhappy. bet she's a peach of a granny.
  18. lol sounds like the writer didn't watch the match
  19. yep he's been a centre back. plus he's young, and he doesn't play due to gareth "must play clause" barry and james "faux world beater" mccarthy.
  20. Lol I've been watching the news fearing I'd see ole pad trying to shoot up the Everton one store.
  21. nice article, funny he says he and RM don't exactly trade christmas cards. i can imagine after being burned RM wasn't too fond of tony. although on the other hand you'd have thought RM would admire him for being able to scout a proper player. to each his own i guess.
  22. spot on. i'll never forget that run and goal mirallas had when he took the ball at the halfway line, ran with it and juked 2 players out and then ran to the box and put it in. one man team he was with moyes and martinez first season. if RM didn't want him he should have sold him, we could have used the money. kev isn't a super sub, he needs game time to be consistent.
  23. if he doesn't it's because he wasn't given a proper run out. mccarthy and barry start week in and out regardless of form, it's bothersome to be honest.
  24. who would you have liked to have seen come in/out?
