  1. right it's all legal. i think Makis point is that the clubs best interests aren't at the forefront. instead it's green making money. they're not looking to "improve everton to be the best" its just a cow they are milking and have BK up there doing the song and dance routine.
  2. no worries man, it's a good article you're right, regardless of your position on the board it offers concrete numbers which is nice.
  3. http://www.toffeetalk.com/index.php?/topic/27212-summer-transfer-window-2015/page-8 schwarzy posted it from the mirror
  4. already been posted in 2 different threads. net doesn't mean much cause we didn't sell this window, 2 years ago we were -10m net because we sold fellaini vic jelavic. next year we bought lukaku and were +28m. so saying look at all the teams under us is short sighted, cause next year we might be on top or below. Net spending goes up and down varying on squad age and sell-able talent. Next summer we could be -60m net because we sold stones coleman lukaku and only spent 30m of it. People will be hailing us as the most financially solvent club, we made 60m! Everton have got it right! woo. when all they need to do is look at previous years to see it all evens out in the long term. if you follow that trend you'll see we usually spend 20-30m (with the tv money influx) which is what a lot of guys on here expected and what we did spend (without selling)
  5. sorry mike i thought the sale was yesterday which was under his old deal and he signed a new deal today.
  6. you called it mike. i couldn't see it, the "galacticos" just aren't jelling and have no chemistry. would love them to be in a relegation battle.
  7. no argument there bill. Kone has a great touch and holds the ball up very well.
  8. damn you're 3 years younger than me, i thought you were an old fucker cause you're so cranky all the time. i guess you're just a young buck that needs to get laid lol
  9. good thoughts romey. i think RM plan is to have the youngsters for squad depth with the occaisional veteran on a bosman or cheap (like alcaraz type players). there is no money saved up. i think stones coleman, lukaku will all go at some point which will generate the rest to buy players in their prime to complete the 5 year vision. that's really the only way i can see RM doing it.
  10. http://www.espnfc.us/club/everton/368/blog/post/2579239/everton-transfer-news-summer-window-watch 4/10 from espn.
  11. Lennon just signed a 3 year deal with us. Perfect length for his age. Well done Everton.
  12. Earl and green are spurs fans? That explains having former JG boy Levy run it over there. They want one of their own running their club. We get kenwright, who is a professional actor when it comes to Everton.
  13. Couple things matt. Man city plays wings and attacking fullbacks and they have no issues. So does Chelsea. If we didn't play 2 DCM I would get your point but they cover for the fullbacks. Now look at arsenal, they're one DCM so their fullbacks don't really attack, it's all midfield and forward play. Honestly Matt you're right though. If we can't afford better players we have a glut of talent that doesn't fit the scheme the best. Sell Coleman and stones this summer I say. Use the money for a 10 and 2 RB (one young one proven). Baines can still attack just move Lennon to his side RB Mori jags Baines McCarthy Mirallas 10 Barkley Lennon Lukaku
  14. Totally agree. If we don't have a top 4 challenging campaign I can see stones, Coleman, and Lukaku gone this next summer.
  15. Yeah the thing I was trying to highlight is this next summer the squad will be pruned down and we will gain a lot of wages back from those players which is encouraging to me for the long term vision. I agree crusty next summer it's 10 and GK.
  16. One further thing to note, these players contracts Are finished at the end of this campaign - Hibbert Gibson Kone Oviedo Osman Pienaar Stanek Conor Grant Some serious dead wood there. Kone and Oviedo should be re-signed, Hibbert and osman offered coaching contracts.
  17. I wasn't too surprised at soton because they haven't been up long enough to stabilize so to speak financially. They're a selling club now, but a couple more solid top 10 finishes with more and more TV money and they might be around 0 or so. Stoke is interesting. I guess it's a small market but have stayed up for a while so all that premier league money has helped? Pulis steady top 10 finishes? Steve is this total of all revenue spend? Cause if so some of those teams have stadiums tied into that I believe. Could offset it some more.
  18. Post more often man, I may not agree but you're intelligent and informed and we could use a little more of that (yes I'm looking at myself on that dig)
  19. No doubt steve. The team I envy is arsenal. Debt free, managed well, business side ran well, owner is very hands off but willing to spend and help. Beautiful stadium, worldwide brand, and CL football year in and out. They may not always win it but of the big boys to me at least, they are run a cut above the rest. Well oiled machine.
  20. Lol well played. I just mean to say it never goes down because the TV money increases, wages and fees increase, and there is standard monetary inflation that is always rising. So it doesn't even sound like a thing anymore. If they didn't break it? Then I'd be like whoa, but it seems that every summer it's broken.
  21. Exactly. One things for sure, Goodison and all evertonians will be behind him. I'm looking forward to the cup matches to see what he's got.
  22. Agreed MC. The only thing I think he's doing with Gerry is not giving him even time for barca to buy back. Kev I don't know what he's thinking. He's one of our best players and he's on the bench? Re work the formation and get him on the field.
  23. Good stuff. I forgot naisy as well, I would have sold him immediately. 8m for him? Without even thinking I'd do that. Promote Connor macaleny to take his place or play osman.
