I actually prefer it that we cant just go out and spend £20-30mil on players, pay them extortionate wages just so they can piss their pants when they dont get wished happy birthday!
 
I just wish we had enough money to buy one or two £6-10mil players every summer without having to sell. I get greater enjoyment in finding the next big player rather than just buying him when he is in his prime.

Definitly go but wear your Everton shirt and remind him of the result at Goodison just as the piccys being taken.

He apparently put very little effort into training and just looked generally not arsed and uninterested, no time for lads like that who have an opportunity most would dream off and they piss it down the drain.

I'm bored of all these fan mock ups being held up as the new kit. I'm looking forward to seeing what Umbro can do, some thing simple and a little retro will do me. At least we know that no one else will have the same design next time.
 
Nike is a huge brand, but when you see how lazy they are with their designs it's crazy. Go on football shirt culture and look at the World Cup kits. Most of the nike kits are plain with no detail and v neck. They look alright, but when everyone has the same kit it's just too uniform for me.

So it's not waterproof then.....fucking Umbro :shaking fist:.

One thing I would say on this is that we can't be compared to Spain, etc where they use B teams in lower leagues. Our lower leagues are exceptionally well supported when you think about it, the crowds are much better than lower leagues in other countries. This proposal would benefit premier league clubs only in my opinion, not the game as a whole. And as others have said I don't see how it would measurably improve the progression of our young players either

He's been on and faced the flak....took it like a man and admitted how wrong he was (and how glad he was about it).

Nugent is out of contract in a few weeks. Back up striker / squad rotation? He's an Everton fan apparently. Wasn't given a consistent run out in the PL for Portsmouth, but perhaps he's found his level in the Championship and wouldn't cut it at the higher level?

Barkley will probably get the odd 10 minutes at the end of games when we're getting overran and he'll not have the platform to show what he can do.

They are doing it for nature's sake. So the birds will nest else where and stop getting their eggs nicked.

I can only answer from a personal POV Newty and to summarise:

Im a sad git (all the time)
Im obsessed with football (as a sport)
 
With all those in mind, i spend longer than is healthy watching games and players from league most people haven't heard of.
 
Genuinely, if you do some research for academy prospects and new talents, you'll know what league or team they're in and generally revert back to their games to check how they progress, years down the line.
 
Most are at some point linked with Everton as well, so being a bit sad, i will keep an eye on them and see what "could have been".
 
Some people like refurbing houses. Some people like gardening. Some people like restoring old cars... And all with the same reward. Seeing something grow/develop into something awesome.
 
I get a buzz (as most have noticed) of highlighting young players years before the general public have even heard of them. I like it, not sure why.

Great interivew and some nice little nuggets there, including him saying he would love to have been a player like Ross Barkley but thinks he was more like Gareth Barry Well worth a watch/listen if you haven't already.

He's going to be Gnasher's replacemt at the RS maybe? Sterling, Coutinho and Lallana playing behind Sturrdige. Gnasher off to Spain with his reported 100m Euro release clause... just my personal speculation of course, not backed up by any facts!
