Lennon cup tied so I would keep same team with Atsu in his place.

I thought McCarthy was unlikely to play. Besic has been our best player recently and was only out due to sickness. He would be first on the team sheet for me. Shows that he want it so much, which has to rub off on the rest of them. Some of those tackles alone can give the whole team a lift.

I see how strong our team is out there and we still have Barkley, Eto, Oviedo, Distin, Gibson, Atsu, Peanuts, Osman, Kone, Besic not in the team and each of them would be a main player in any of the lowest 12 teams in Premiership. If we can cut out mistakes, we could really make history over next couple of years if they are all kept together.
 
Just over a year ago I was looking at Guaye, Amakachi, Gosling on our bench. How things have changed, and it didn't cost that much really. If this change had happened the year we came 4th, we would already be up there by now.
 
We are up for this. After 1st goal, when goalie went of for a few minutes, we took the ball and kept passing (almost as if training) while the game had stopped. Love it.

Basically we need some favorites to get beaten by underdogs to have the chance at Pot 2; a scenario which would give us a much easier group.

Perfect player for us. Played for Barcelona in a similar style to us, just for that reason he will be an asset to our squad.
 
Not the player to take us forward, but perfect for others to learn from for the short term.
 
Also, already pushed Lukaku out of Chelsea, if anything is going to make sure Lukaku stays hungry, its that.

Sacrifice 3 games?? I would never sacrifice a half never mind 3 games what an utterly ridiculous thing to say. What if those 3 games are thre difference in a cl spot? Granted the Lukaku situation last season was an unknown but to say lets potentially ruin our whole season to wait and get Lukaku cheaper is ridiculous.
 
Imagine we startin with 3 defeats? Conceivable anyway if we lose to liecester, that could lead to a confidence drop and start a really bad run which we may never recover from. If we're serious about top four this season we have fto hit the ground running and never stop not take risks by sacrificing games. Wtf??!!?

Not quite so ridiculous if that time frame allows us to save money and bring in the extra body, which will come in handy since we're competing on 4 fronts this season.

I checked your bio out last night and noticed you had started "supporting us properly" since 2012. Now don't get me wrong here I'm absolutely delighted you support us, we desperately need a global support network t's something I strongly believe in so I'm not knocking that but I've been watching Everton for a long time. I remember my Dad taking me to my first game, I was in the main stand we drew 1-1 with Birmingham and Eamon O Keefe scored a 20 yard equaliser, I followed Everton all through the 80s, was lucky enough to see us lift the trophy in Rotterdam, was in the old Park End (that was the away end back then) when we paraded the Cannon league at Goodison against Luton, I could go on all day about that era. I followed us he and away all through the dark ages of the 90s, went everywhere, ran on the pitch in floods of tears at the Wimbledon game. These days I'm a lot older, but I still have a season ticket and so does my 7 year old, my 5 year old and my nephew (all of which I pay for) included in that the near on £200 I've just spent on 2 kits for my sons (I'll do the same when the away and 3rd kit come out) and I'll continue to do so until my boys are old enough to go themselves, so don't you fucking dare have the brass balls to insinuate that I have no right to voice an opinion. If you don't like it hot the fucking ignore button so you don 't have to read it but whether you like it or not, I have one and I have the right to express it.

Mirallas, it's not herd mentality in regards to haf. Believe me I don't care about forum cliques. I like both of you as posters and have seen you make some good points - it's just that on this particular occasion you played the race or national card and it was completely unfair. Dave Biggar... previous role was Sales Director at "Atlanta Dream" - 1 year he held that role for... got to be honest the club needs a proper restructure doing. I have absolutely zero faith that we will replace him with the right talent, corporately I don't like the noises that I hear coming out of the club, everything smacks of pure amateurish "jobs for boys" - don't rock my world and I wont rock yours.
 
First person to look at for me is Elstone - the way Alan Myers left the club after sorting out the badge fiasco and basically reigniting the right relations between fans and the club stunk and clearly there was something more to it.
 
Some fans will look at reducing debt and increased TV money etc etc - commercially and professionally we have been left standing for years. The club that did the first overseas tour, first matchday programme etc etc - we now are lucky to be able to copy the initiatives that other clubs do.

The only thing you can hold against me is that I am more active in threads about Belgians than others, but has it ever crossed you mind that that's so because I happen to know a lot about it? And I don't really know a lot about guys like Tom Ince or Andy Robertson, so I just stay wisely away from those discussions? Do you know what they call discriminating a person for his ethnic background or nationality for reasons beyond rationalty? Racism. As it happens, your posts regarding Belgian players aren't even balanced, pure idiotic, you used to vote for Mirallas as MOTM when he had a stinker and other players were head and shoulders better.
 
You have turned your particpation in this forum into a "Don't care about Everton, just following the belgian players" - then actually use this place as a means to troll when we are playing Chelsea. If you take my objection to such behaviour as racisim then you are an idiot, My objection to it is to stop you behaving like some Pro Belgian campaigner when you have no reason to campaign.
 
It has been stated on here many a time that the belgian national team is a strong looking group of players who should do well. Surely thats enough to quench your insatiable need to have your ego massaged?

I'm just glad the product of the self-proclaimed Guv'nor's baby batter will not be getting anywhere near an Everton shirt.

The players that have made it from lower league or relegation threatened teams were bought alongside some top players, the top players bought at the same time made these teams win things. Also, most on your list are top players having their 1st season to settle at a smaller team and then moving up to a top team, not players who have been in premiership for years at a lower club and not being able to make the move up. You can't compare Tevez 1st season at West Ham to Colbacks 4 seasons in premier league. It is not the same.
 
The price of these players were top money in most cases so it is like Lallana, Bony & Shaw prices now from a smaller team (£20m+), not the £3m rated players we are taking about, I doubt you can do a 11 man team out of this sort of player! You are not giving examples of the type of players we are comparing.
 
If we bought a few of these squad fillers along with some top players, then ok. If we buy this crap being mentioned then we would have a 5th place team and a 10th place team, this would not equal a 4th place squad.
 
We need to be buying top 4 players to make top 4 and improve our team, its simple and the option touted are not the top players.
 
I would be going for players who are available for our sort of money, M'Vila, Song, Lacezzette, Richards. These are top players, Diame, Colback, Mulumbu, MVia etc are not.
 
We should be more ambitious.

Most of the players suggested are cack, we are 5th, not 15th. We should buy better players than what is being suggested. Current players in Premier League are overpriced so should be looking abroad, we have enough premier experience already in our team.
 
Lets buy a Scottish player! We should buy Colback! We should buy Man Utd reject! These deals are no where near ambitious enough.
