  1. We don't need 3 CB's to contain Weghorst but most importantly I favor any lineup without Holgate in it. Between his play, attitude and comments/quotes he is public enemy #1 for me. The less he plays on the run-in and the faster we move him out this summer the better.

    Pickford
    Coleman Godfrey Branthwaite Mykolenko
    Doucoure Delph
    Gray Gordon Richarlison
    DCL

  2. For about 8 days I mostly forgot about our situation. Now it's all I can think about again. We haven't won a league game away from home since bloody f***ing August. That's 9 losses and 2 draws on the trot, including to Brentford and Norwich, and we've been outscored 26-6. Bless all the supporters brave enough to go to West Ham and Burnley. True masochists.

Beat Burnley and we just might catch Leeds or Brentford for 16th with our games in hand.

West Ham away first. It would be so Everton to win at West Ham and then get thrashed at Burnley. And I'd probably take that right now if it was offered.

3 points from 2 away games in 4 days. Need everyone be reminded of our away form this season. Absolutely we'd take that. Hell I'd take 2 points.

We can keep blaming managers. But if you give a cleaner a chisel and hammer…. They won’t just turn into a carpenter.

Same as our players. You can’t give them a few training sessions and expect them to turn into footballers.

Frank needs to tell the players that its a back four from here on in, tell each player which place in the back four is their prime position and then drill the hell out of them on the training pitch. Just like Moyes did. It might not be pretty but if it keeps us up, we can then review in the summer.

Lampard said our players dont have the bollocks….. and that the tactics were fine as the first 15 minutes showed this.

well done frank.   Those bunch of cowards will no doubt be whattsapping and moaning that you said mean things about them…. But let them.   Make sure you have daily meetings with new dof and demand progress reports on how you are gonna turf half the pricks out and the hungry ambitious replacements you have lined up.

Agree wholeheartedly with all of this. I think Frank is the man to lead us for several years, and I never thought that would be the case. Imagine being in his shoes right now. We were destroying palace for 15 mins and then  Keane turns into a parking cone again and we concede. Game over. There is no coaching for what our players do. We had Carlo fucking Ancelotti for Christ’s sake. This lot are an embarrassment.

  5. Injuries, suspension and cup-tied leaves us very light.

Begovic, Lonergan, Kenny, Patterson, Holgate, Keane, Mykolenko, Godfrey, Seamus, Branthwaite, Townsend, doucs, Iwobi, Gomes, richarlison, dcl, gray, cenk, Gordon, Salomon

without Allan I’d like to see us go 3-4-3

    begovic

    kenny Keane godfrey

    patterson doucs gomes mykolenko

    gray dcl richarlison

gordon needs a rest. Gray and richarlison can tuck inside and use their work rate to help doucs gomes at times and allow Patterson and mykolenko to provide the width.

We're keeping on pace. Beating Burnley and Watford might, might just be enough regardless of every other result. But they're both away so we know how that's likely to go.

  7. Enjoy @MikeO

If you look at the results it seems like 4231 causes Wolves the most trouble.

    Pickford
    Kenny Godfrey Branthwaite Mykolenko
    Allan Doucoure
    Gray DVB Gordon
    Richarlison

Wolves do play Thursday so we'll have the fresher legs, not that any of us think it's a matter of fresh legs that can save us.

  8. The longer I've been a fan the less appealing it becomes to every year suggest wholesale changes. Usually 2-3 incomings is all it takes to have a real impact. That said, I see absolutely no hope for most of this squad and IF we don't get relegated it will be the biggest summer in the 21st century. We're unbelievably close to being a consistent midtable club whose measure of success would be top half and is one or two injuries from relegation, forget about Europe. Think Villa and Southampton. I don't know much about this lad Thelwell but he has a meteoric task on hand.

    Squad for 22/23 right now:
GK: Pickford, Begovic(option), J Virginia, Crellin
DEF: Keane, Mina, Holgate, Godfrey, Mykolenko, Coleman, Patterson, Branthwaite, Nkounkou
MID: Allan, Doucoure, Gomes, Davies, Gbamin, Dele
FWD: DCL, Richarlison, Gray, Townsend, Gordon, Iwobi, Rondon

Gone after 21/22: Lonergan, Kenny, Delph, Siggy, Tosun, El Ghazi, Tosun
    On loan 22/23: Moise Kean

Needs to go: Keane, Holgate, Gomes, Gbamin, Iwobi, Rondon
Need to sign: Starting RB, Starting CB, Starting LB, Starting DCM, Starting #10/playmaker, backup ST, backup W, 2 backup CMs

At least 6 out and 9 in under our financial fair play restrictions. The only glimmer of hope is Thelwell can use his knowledge of MLS to find a bargain or two. There's legitimate talent here now.

Anyone still thinking we're not battling relegation is wrong. I'm expecting it to come down to the last two weeks and if we miraculously pull ourselves out of it before then, dandy.
