Keane has been immense
Never thought i’d see you and that sentence put together!
I wanted to say it, but would be typical of me to do so and then he has a costly error!

Pickford! take a bow

My thoughts on it are, he was spoken to afterwards by Kevin Friend which means that Friend saw it, if he thought it was violent conduct he could/would have dismissed him. Part of the reports say they are waiting to see what is reported by the officials and him getting a talking to means they must have seen it.
It was a brain fade brought on by passion and adrenaline, I wouldn’t be against seeing him get a fine but shouldn’t be banned, its only suprisingly kopites, leeds and burnley supporters calling for him to be banned, wonder why

Was there a foul that we should have been given just before Keane?
looked like friendly fire to me what your thinking of

I’m gonna give players some slack….. we have had a recovery day then travel to London. But it still doesn’t answer for how we drop
Its our typical season so far, break the drought with an amazing W, then follow up with rubbish and get what we deserve.
Too many fragile minds, though I much rather lose this game after beating the toon than losing to newcastle and progressing in this cup

Anyone pick up on the Zaha blatant handball supposedly just before the 2nd goal?

Not completely true.
I think we bettered today's 15 attempts only 3 times this season in the league (I checked but can't remember the exact amount - it could be 4 ).
The bigger issue is the shots on target. There is no doubt the individual players should have done a lot better. Mina and Dom in particular.
Mina (x2) and Dom should have done better with their chances, even Douc’s when on the break with his ball for Richy I think it was, the ball should have been better and we’d been 1 on 1.
Looked to be more passion and fight for the shirt, expect that when Dunc leading, lacked a bit of quality and end product.
We were touch unlucky their goal, Pickford doesn’t touch it then Townsend should have cleared, but big questions on looked as though 2 let a fairly short player run like that and get free.
Pickford looks to have matured a fair bit this year, could we credit Ramsdale pressuring his England spot?
Hard to say if encouraging or more of the same as previous, after Newcastle game we’ll know how seriously in trouble we are.

Part of me thinks the reason we held off sacking RB through that horrible run was knowing the pool of potential replacements was slim pickings. That an Moshiri would have been dying to give it a chance to work seeing it was his decision in the hope he didn’t end up with egg in his face.
I like Potter, think hes a good english manager that will go on to manage a top 6 English team, unfortunately I think we missed the boat completely in trying to bring him in and have no chance of that now.
Rooney, inexperienced but would give it all, demand alot and is currently learning in probably an environment that will teach him way more about management than any other club in the Championship. I want to see him have a successful management career and we are a move too soon for his, but saying that I’d prefer him to big Dunc rest of season.
Bobby Brown Shoes, many say he kicked off the shitshow of our club, yet, he was never given the money to spend and worked more to the old budgets we had, and what money he spent, was actually pretty well invested with Rom an example that we pulled a big profit on. He just lacked very much in def and was a bit too stubborn, who knows times change and he might do it differently if comes back.
Personally i’m quite torn on it all as to who we get, but if we are signing a manager now, and not an interim etc, whoever it is MUST be the right manager for this great club, be prepared to bleed blue and be here for the next 3/4/5 years minimum, no pressure hey.

I really wish we'd kept hold of our shit French international LB so that we could have eased this lad in. He looks nowhere near ready at this moment, and we need players that are ready because we're in deep shit.
I said this to my brother. not against the business side to selling Digne, but would have loved that to come in the summer where at least half a season you had 2 options

Last minute.
Pickford runs up the pitch and shouts at his defenders who are playing keep ball while losing. Some of our players have to go, they don’t care about winning as long as they are still premier league players and getting a wage.
I don’t give a fuck who manages us. With players that don’t care…. It makes zero difference.
Don’t look like they want to be though. Things stay the same they won’t be either.

Maybe the effort of Gordon and Gray trying to create something

Even with getting players back from injury, we are horrible to watch and so predictable in our play, what will the excuse be tonight

Gordon has been involved and had a go today, but in the box he's made the wrong decision nearly every time.
Unfortunately that comes with experience, least he looks to be putting in everything he has when he plays

Those two cant complain about being hooked. Both dreadful.
He obvsiously doesnt think much of Patterson at the moment. Although he might be being held back for when Mina goes off injured.
Agree about hooking both.
Rekon hes saving Patterson for if we get 1 goal, then he’ll pull off DCL and go to a back 5

Not against the signing, hopefully he buys into the cause and proves to be an inspired signing like Gray.
We now though have a fair few players for his position, I do hope signing him doesn’t impede the progress of Gordon and Dobbin whom I personally want to see both getting minutes even though the latter is still quite raw.

As Bernard left before Benitez joined, a not so hidden dig at upstairs.
I seen that too. Potentially an indicator that there is something toxic behind the scenes. With all the players having liked his post etc I do hope doesn’t cause squad unrest even though the club has done decent business getting a profit and wages etc off the bill, but puts alot of pressure now on an untested new young signing with only Godfrey as an alternative.

Theres always 2 sides to every story, from his post I feel he wants to tell his, but he is likely getting really good advice to leave it behind closed doors and is showing respect to the club/fans by not doing so. Nothing wrong with the few subtle hints/digs in my eyes, but unfortunately we’ll likely never know the full story or what the truth in it all is.
-
Alot of rumours starting to pop up on Twitter in the past hour that he’s been made available to loan, and Lazio apparently interested. Doesn’t make much sense to me.
-
The league has set a really bad precedent here. Next what we will see is fixture pile ups, more players getting injuries, more postponements, then more Managers complaining about the work load on players and be a revolving door.

was a struggle to watch that, highlights need for a quality striker as I fear DCL is injury prone. And a creative spark in the mid.
Also, technically should Oliver have actually stopped play during added time? They had the chance to put ball out and played on, and it wasn’t a head injury.
