He is not a striker and you could see him get more and more frustrated as he was being asked to play in different positions. Just let the lad shine on the left!

he did have a couple nice times with his back to goal and he was entering the box and laid it off for gylfi/richie etc to continue the attack.  something we really miss with richie up top

one of which broke down because he touched it and it went to the opposition.  he offers nothing more than pace for me.  lookman has creativity and is able to make runs into the box with his trickery.

Thought Tosun was much better centrally than Richarlison has been.
Richie was clearly annoyed, when Tosun was removed, at having to move back there as well.

52 crosses and 14 corners, lack of a top quality striker wasn't what killed us today.

richarlison looks so much better on the left compared to bernard.  and even though tosun wasn't great today, he was laying off the ball and bringing others into the game which is something richie lacks when he plays in the middle.  

The balls in to the box have been horrible today.

Playing as a hold up Centre Forward, allowing the team an outlet through the middle, with their back to goal.  Winning headers against a CB.
No doubt Richarlison is the better player overall, just think he's at hid best running at the defense, getting down the line, and coming in off the left. 
Trying to hold off 1/2 CB's and play in the wingers/Gylfi isn'tt a strength of his.  He was called on to do it a number of times in the Derby, pretty sure he lost out every time except for a couple of frees.

we just sub him at 60' like we do theo when he runs out of steam, no big deal.  to think Mola only has 30 min in him is comical at best

I think it's time to move him back out to the wing, it doesn't seem to be working as well and don't think he's quite ready to play in the middle.

I'd rather play him too his strength and relieve some of the added pressure on him, even if it means we've got to Bench a preferred player to bring on a CF.  Maybe play him through the middle on a opponent/case by case basis.

isn'tt the Left his preferred side though?  Seems to be where he's played most of his footy, with his highlights showing lots of cutting inside to shoot.

you misunderstood me ste.  he was giving it his all, trying everything, the majority of the guys were treating it like training.  he is giving his all and deserves a chance.  whether or not he was a worldie against lower opposition doesn't matter to me, it's effort and heart.  he is showing that. 

Yep.  Also just to reinforce an attitude and a merit based system.  Some starters have been down on form, so those training well & with the right attitude should get a chance.

Could have done that directly/in person Haf.  No need for that to play out on social media, and no reason for us to assume some slight/callous act on his behalf (not assuming you are).
He may well prefer to move and that's his prerogative.  Although I think that the Leipzig post could very easily just be the kid taking an interest in a team and player he played for/with.  Not everyone's a mischievous Mastermind (footballers less likely than most), and he is still just a 20 year old kid.
He's currently an Everton player, and welcome in my book.  If he goes, I assume we'll get a fair price and wish him good luck.  Then continue to cheer on Everton's upward trajectory.

Anyway, been meaning to come on for a few days to say I think he's going...and not being in the Cup squad tonight makes it more likely to me.
I'm not into all the other stuff you guys have repeated numerous times on the previous pages. My only 'opinion' on that is how much social media has sucked us into a unhealthy pattern of judgement.
BUT...what I really wanted to say is that I absolutely love how Everton are playing this. And I think we are doing Premiership clubs a huge potential favour with our stance. Foreign clubs are ripping us off for their players, and then expecting to get ours for knock down rates.
We are levelling the playing field. You want our boy so bad? Pay for him. And we'll hold on until you do pay.
I think we win either way.
 

Can't buy our way to the top, we need to develop players.
We could keep average players for bench cover, or we can provide opportunities for young talent to rise the challenge.

You sort of don’t have to wish someone well online if you can do it to their face, or send them a txt, or give them a call. 
But if they don’t do it online we don’t know it happened and we have a right to this information. Obviously. 
Glad to see we have a few more level headed people on here. Toffee Talk used to be for the Thinking Evertonian 😂
