He’s out of contract as well after this season ( I think) so he’ll never wear the shirt again thank fuck.

I think that to reward him for all he’s done for us we should give him a free transfer. It’s the least we could do to show our appreciation.

Yep- that is exactly how I see it, and blaming Allardyce for the woes and tribulations that are going to follow is in my opinion ( note I said my opinion here for clarity as it seems that’s what I have to do when I’m discussing something) absolutely ludicrous. He was effectively a caretaker manager for 6 months and he kept us up. I was delighted when he was relieved of his duties but I was always fully aware that with a world cup happening we were still in massive trouble thanks to Koeman and Walsh- they sold Lukaku and pissed the money up the wall on shit players paying them massive wages- Sandro on 120 a week allegedly, Klaasen the same, Keanes probably on close to 100 so it’s not just the fees it’s the huge wage bill. We are in a right mess.

    My two pennies worth
We were a sinking ship staring relegation in the face, some people choose to bury their heads in the sand and try to deny it, but each to their own
Allardyce was never part of Moshiri’s vision, he was appointed as a stop gap with the remit of “saving us from relegation “
we kick off the new season with an opening fixture in the Premiership away to Wolves , so he achieved his aim and that is 100% fact
The only debatable bit is whether or not you are daft enough to believe we were never in trouble in the first place

Yes because before he took over we were playing super exciting football, freescoring and defending well 🙄🙄 we were getting twattec every week by shite teams. He made us no better but certainly no worse. Because he was hated everything magnifies with him. What Kieman and Walsh done was 100 times worse- it was gross fucking negligence. Allardyce was a bad bullshitter but so was Martinez. He never claimed to be anything hut what he was and that’s a manager who keeps teams up- we hired him to keep us up and he did. We all knew exactly what we were getting with him but again because he’s hated his comments are blown into some sort of evil cult- nothing he said was worse than Martinez claiming we didn’t bother to defend set pieces, he’d sooner us lose 4-3 than win a boring 1-0- Southampton whalloped us 3-0 and he said there was nothing in the game yet this was all accepted no problem. Allardyce is a shauster and a blag merchant but he done no worse a job than Martinez in his 2nd and 3rd seasons and turned Koemans pile of utter shit into 8th place.

We’re not in a worse state- how can we be in a worse state when we finished 8th and have exactly the same squad of players plus 2 additions that have helped the team. How can we possibly be in a worse state- he’s not blown all the money, he’s not sold all the players or brought in 7 30 plussers??? If Unsworth would have taken over and done exactly what Allardyce did everyone would be screaming for him to get the job- absolute fact but because he’s hated anything good he done doesn’t count and everything bad he done is 100 times worse than any other manager.
We were in shit street when he took over, he stabilised us then we tredded water and finished 8th- he had the same players to work with as Koeman did bar the 2 he brought in- Koemans team was and still is a shambles- hiw can you blame Allardyce for any of that?

Matt, don’t be a smart arse you know exactly what I’m on about. It wouldn’t of mattered who managed us after Koeman last season NO good would have come of it. We were in a bad state and nothing would have rectified it. It was horrendous have that joke near our club but lets not blame him for things he wasn’t to blame for

So, you were at uni here? What years was that? Before the regeneration? And what did you find 'shitty'? The weather? The people? The nightlife? The area you lived in?
Seems a rather ridiculous remark to say 'anyone who has lived there would agree'. Plenty of Mancunians love their city. Maybe it just didn't suit you.

We've made some awful managerial decisions recently. To put things in perspective, the annual salary of both Koeman and Allardyce at Everton was 30% more than Zidane made this year at Real Madrid. That's borderline criminal.

There's a considerable difference even going from Cornwall to England. Bodmin Moor rarely gets snow, whereas it's quite common to see snow on Dartmoor. You'll see palm trees in some Cornish gardens but rarely in England. Even a few miles can make a difference.

The team was never in danger of relegation. Losing Baines and Coleman did have an effect. The win over West Ham was Unsworth's doing, and he must be furious that Allardyce, with the media's support, is stealing his thunder. One important factor being overlooked, though, is confidence - or lack of it. It's one of those intangibles that can have a big influence. Martina was brought in to cover, and his ineffectiveness must have eaten into confidence. We weren't scoring goals, and that must have hurt confidence, too. Crooked Sam did nothing to change these things; indeed, he reinforced them. Players who absolutely need confidence to succeed, Keane in particular, suffered big time. The manager picking on players who dared to make a mistake will have compounded the problem.
It's not just poor tactics that drive me crazy with Allardyce. His poor ethics are a big deal with me, as everyone knows by now. But his selfishness, willingness to rewrite history, and poor man management must have hit players' confidence. Do we see them obviously pleased about winning a couple of games in succession? Absolutely not. Do we see their hearts in the game? Absolutely not. Sure, we can blame the players for this, but teams depend heavily on leadership. True leaders inspire and build confidence, pulling everyone together when someone makes a mistake, and building esprit de corps. Crooked Sam is anathema to these things.

No but despite the fact that he had a poor game - we won.
It basically makes your stat about him playing in 7 of our 9 losses a load of shit. Because the same argument would say that he was involved in our win..... when admittedly he had a poor game.

Same thinking here. Loves a header and constrantly annoying the shit out of the defenders. Opposition will hate, and if he keeps scoring we'll have a new cult hero.

Yep, he actually played well. He was involved in a lot of their good moves, he set up Lingards massive chance, he was constantly on the move and in that first half hour that Utd should have blown Leicester away he had a hand in most of the good things they did.

I’m gutted for him, I hate it when we sack managers but it had to be done. I don’t think he ever truly felt at home here or part of the club- whether that’s right only he will know but I take no pleasure in us sacking anyone- it’s shit and it means the club is suffering for it.
Best of luck to him but really, who do we get in now because I can’t think of anyone who is either realistic or available- Ancellotti who is the only big name free at the minute wont come here imo and I really don’t want Unsworth, he’s not experienced or a big enough name for a club wanting to go where we want to.

Rooney, a lifelong Evertonian, celebrated in front of our fans and kissed the united badge after he'd scored, following relentless abuse from our fans.
United's fans, by contrast, gave Rooney a decent welcome on Saturday and applauded him when he was subbed. The neutral might be drawn to think that United fans are respectful and classy whilst Everton fans are bitter and spiteful. I'd hate to think that that might be even remotely true, I really would.

He was given dogs abuse by some of our fans-  the same fans who laughed at him because he didn't run enough, the same fans who sneered at his first ouch, same fans who said we wouldn't miss him and United fans wouldn't put up with him.
Why would he give a fuck- he's single handedly scored more than our whole team collectively but just scoring goals didn't matter and wasn't everything- some where more arsed about how far he ran.
He was the best thing we had and it's painfully obvious now he's gone what he gave us.
Before you fly off on one Haf, those comments are not directly aimed at you but a whole group who had the same opinions.

In respect of your second paragraph it's not as if Rom isn't also contributing to the team. No his first touch isn't perfect and yes he does give the ball away in places he shouldn't but it's not like he doesn't play others in, he scores goals he has no right to and on the whole, he can link the play really well, creating outlets and space for others.

He will always give the ball away when he shouldn't, part of that is the nature of his role as a sole striker because 50% of the time he will be 2 v 1 against him but he has nothing to do with why we are struggling as a club either for Koeman or Martinez and I find it unfathomable that people seem to be going down that route. I would genuinely hate to think where we would be without him this season. Do you think we as a club would have scored more goals with Valencia or Kone leading the line? Would we fuck!

But he actually did what you said he should do and "said it without saying it". He was asked in his press conference about the situation with Niasse and instead of saying outright that he thinks Niasse is crap and he's desperate to get shut of him he gave a diplomatic answer.

I'm really struggling to see what the fuss is about, just as I have been since people blew up about it originally .

That's not what he said though is it? Not even close. "If he wants to play football then he needs to leave Everton" is what he said. What a downright dispicable and hurtful thing to say! He really attacked Niasse, went after him publicly, ridiculed him, said he was rubbish.

Nah, he just said that he wouldn't play if he stayed at Everton. What an absolute bastard!
