  1. An empty Goodison would be cold in the summer Mark
  2. Davies picked over Delph great decision and so pleased that Ancelotti has shown the faith in him. That won’t be a strange role for him he played there doing the same role as Allan for England U23s very successfully.
  3. We’ve been playing a 433 but on the pitch with Allan playing a deeper holding role, it’s more like a 4123. But I think you can get caught up in the semantics of the formation to much, for me you firstly focus on your defence and the introduction of Allan as an organiser and protector has made our defence look quite solid. Then you have your central striker and mids with the 2 wide men, but for me when you’re defence is sound the rest is interchangeable the 5 in front of Allan can play with more freedom move positions and formations it becomes more free flowing, and keeps your opponent’s guessing, well that’s how I see it.
  4. Iwobi for me doesn’t do it in wide area’s but as soon as he comes in field in and around the area he suddenly comes to life, and he looks a different player very dangerous in a central area and ineffective out wide.
  5. Have you been listening to Smooth they play that quite a lot on there, best station in the country for me
  6. Deeney shouldn’t even be being discussed as someone who has ever been good enough to play for us. For me he’s always been someone who worked hard but was very lacking in natural ability a talent, a bit like a Shire horse entering the national.
  7. If Holgate wasn’t injured it could quite easily be him he has played a handful of games for us in that position and shone. At this moment in time with what’s available to us I would play Doucoure there with either 2 from these 3 in front of him Gomes Delph or Gylfi. Some would argue that it would stifle Doucoure’s game I wouldn’t, it’s a team game and for me Allan has proved how vital the role he plays for the team is, and for me Doucoure would be the best person in our squad to fill that pivotal role, if you put Delph there we concede goals and the midfield goes to rats shit as in previous seasons.
  8. Gove is something else, he claimed negotiations were going well with a couple of sticking points, but with good will on both sides things would get resolved. Good will requires trust I really can’t see the EU trusting us again Michael you absolute dick head.
  9. I completely get what you are saying, and you are not knocking DCL in anyway by your opinion, he is having a fantastic run but he has to show this over an extended period before we can truly say he is equal or better than some of the great strikers who have played in our leagues. I believe he has everything in his armoury to achieve this, belief breeds success he now goes out with the belief he is going to score today, that belief is bringing his strikers instinct to the fore you can see he is naturally getting himself in the right place at the right time, he’s not second guessing himself by going into the wrong area’s or spending to much time outside the area trying to force something to happen, which we have seen a lot of in the past, when he was working hard but hardly in the area. We have a fantastic talent on our hands is it fair at this stage of his career to compare him with the likes of Kane and what he has achieved over the years no I don’t think so, but in time could he prove himself to be equally as good or better yes I think so. And this is why consistency comes into play and his belief will spur his confidence and this will help his consistency stay at a level where he can become a world class striker.
  10. I can see Grealish playing slightly wider and drifting more similar to Richarlison without the goals
  11. Yes it would restrict Doucoure from roaming around, that’s the point of putting him there because he’s the only one out of 4-5 players strong enough to take Allans role, Delph may of had a good game but it wasn’t playing in Allans position, put Delph in front of Doucoure with Gomes but don’t put him in Allans position he won’t cope with that challenge.
  12. Went with Allan bossed his position, he makes our average defence look fairly good, Keane and Co will praying tonight that his injury isn’t to serious.
  13. Personally I would put Doucoure there, I wouldn’t trust Delph with such a critical role, then have Gomes and Gylfi in front of him.
  14. No you are wrong Trump and Boris are dictators, they sack and use smear tactics against anybody who disagrees with there policies, they aren’t responsible for most of the last 85 years of peace and prosperity. Obviously whilst you’ve been away you have been brushing up on your reading, so you have probably been waiting for a while to use catastrophizing theory, but on this occasion you have used it in the wrong context, because others and myself have not been catastrophizing.
  15. I must commiserate with your neighbours
  16. It is strange the differences between us both, but doesn’t really matter horses for courses, I have the signed Besic shirt he actually wore in a game with the remembrance poppy on which I bought in a shooting stars auction for charity with money going to the Royal British Legion, that same auction also bought Pickford’s and Schneiderlin’s shirt, that was quite an expensive week, but for a good cause.
  17. I wouldn’t buy him even though we do need another CB, but we want someone who is better than what we’ve got and for me he’s no better and wouldn’t improve the team, a waste of 30 million plus. I’d try and get Stones for that money also he would fit in better in an Ancelotti setup.
  18. The emerged from the today’s Sunday People, probably fake news admittedly but I’m not going mad I didn’t make up the story. Cue the laughing Matt I get that
