Palfy got a reaction from Newty82 in Cuco Martina
Well thanks Newty I'm happy you've noticed, but I have no lessons for Pete what he has been highlighting about Gana is spot on and I'm in full agreement with his very knowledgeable post, to be frank I'm more gob smacked that so many are blinkered and can't see it. To be honest I think he's very much on borrowed time at this club and if and when Schneiderlin, Klaassen and Vlasic come good he will become surplus to requirements, he's just lucky they didn't get going straight away cause he wouldn't be in the team now.

I thought you might come back with Alan Ball or Duncan McKenzie not the kids, any way my argument was futile and I have to except defeat on this occasion, but I'll be back you may have won the battle over Gana but you haven't won the war

His mistake was to go towards Martina and Salah and when he got there was on the wrong side and was completely ineffective, those 5-6 yards he moved towards them he should have made towards the goal which would have put him in the ideal position to block off Salah if he goes past Martina, the fact he didn't shut down the space and route to the goal but instead was drawn to the ball shows a lack of ability to read the game.

Gana only cost 5.7M for a reason he's not good enough for this league or Everton as it's been said of other players we don't want average players at this club.

Christ we are in the shit if Gana is our best midfielder Rooney did more in 40 minutes in midfield in the 2nd half than I've seen Gana do all season, can't believe you think Rooney never done fuck all he won us a point.

We would be in a far worse place without him, wish more had his commitment and passion.

I thought when Lennon went on the right and Rooney in the middle we looked more balanced Allardyce learn from this Rooney can't play right wing.

That was poor by Martina and equally by Gana who went over to back him up but tried to defend Salah from leaving the penalty area not going towards the goal he always always gets on the wrong side of the player he's trying to stop.

From what I'm seeing we are playing 442 and Rooney is wide right

In 12 years time he may look back at this with a tinge of regret as he's driving a long one day, but soon as he parks his 200k motor on the drive of his 4M house he won't give it a second thought.

Palfy got a reaction from Matt in At what point do we say we are in a relegation dogfight?
I think everyone on here would agree that we are shit considering the amount of money spent, but not everyone would agree we are in a relegation fight and that's where we differ you do and I don't, and we could argue that point until the cows come home you won't change your stance and I won't change mine, so let time decide who is right or wrong cause we can't.

Palfy got a reaction from Shukes in Sammy Lee
Know what you mean about old school, years ago the rivalry in the derby games was felt by the players as much as the supporters these days a lot of the players just don't get it, so it will be a positive for us Sunday to have Lee telling the foreigners what it means to the supporters and club and get them in the right mind set for the battle ahead, in derbies you use to be able to throw the form book out of the window when pride took over, I think Lee will make sure everyone gets what the supporters expect.

There are ten teams that the bookies have in front of us as favourites to go down, no dog fight or relegation threat with them more with in our own ranks, c'mon lads heads up be positive your feel a lot better for it, honest

Right we've established that West Ham and Huddersfield are worse than us as mentioned so it's us and them two then, not a chance and if anyone really believes were relegation candidates I'll take your money if you want a wager.
