I thought he was poor again today. He gives the ball away far too often and plays it safe too often. He doesn’t look like he wants to commit defenders like lookman does when he comes on.

All I said to start this was I didn't think he would develop into a top player. I think he will be a good solid Premier League player. I just think when he first came in, I thought he was going to be an absolute star. Now after 50 odd games, I don't think he has enough goals or assists in him. He does however, have good attributes. I am not slagging off the lad at all. He does frustrate me though with his yellows.......
 
I think DCL will improve dramatically more than Davies. I think he has huge attributes to be a top centre forward. I dont think he has the natural eye for a goal like Lukaku, but I think he affects games hugely with other parts of his play.

I'm not convinced that Tom Davies has a huge scope of improvement in him, which is what is required for him to be a top 6 player. He lacks discipline, makes rash tackles and doesn't offer enough at either end of the pitch for me. He's never going to be a goalscorer, creator, or effective DM. I just dont see where his future lies. If he wants to be a player who just "ticks things over" in midfield he's not good enough. I wonder where everyone else sees his future? At first, he was an energetic breath of fresh air who always tried to do positive things. You are generally absolved from criticism as a young player.
Now he is in his third season, are we not expecting improvement?

I think he will continue to improve. His lack of pre season and the struggles which followed meant it was always going to be difficult. I like him and what he can offer. He's a clever player and he can finish. We need goals from anywhere, but having a goalscoring midfielder is always a bonus.

I couldn't have been happier that he got a goal yesterday. He really deserved it for the effort he put in.
Sometimes the quality isn't there with him - his finishing isn't where we need it to be, and sometimes his ball control is horrendous - but he never stops, he never hides, and he gives 100%, 100% of the time.
I like him a lot.

It was like he had more space tonight and had a buzz about him. Maybe that was with Rooney playing deeper.
Rooney will and should take all the plaudits but his display shouldn't go unnoticed either. Hopefully he kicks on from here

So no-one is in a relegation fight then because of the time of year??? We need to fight for points now because the games like West Ham at home could be crucial come the end of the year. Just because it is November, doesn't make the game worth any less. Its still a huge 3 points for either team. 

I couldnt agree more. As I posted in another thread. This delusional nature amongst Everton fans and the Board is costing us. Everyone thinks that there are easy winnable games in the Premier League. There isn't. I can honestly say that I dont think we have deserved to win any game this season. We have been lucky against Stoke, Bournemouth and Watford. Not one fan could have come away from those games thinking a thoroughly deserved 3 points??? We are being comprehensively beaten and we need a firefighter to come in. Everybody knew that we would get beat by Southampton. They have been shocking all season yet they put 4 past us. 

Why are people saying that we aren't in a relegation fight? Are people watching a different game to me? We are not just losing games. We're getting smashed and the only points we have picked up this season have arguably been very fortunate. Without doubt, right now, we are in the worst 3 sides in the league. Every other club below us has ways of playing in order to be effective. Palace are a great example of this. I dont actually think they will go down as the tools are there for all to see. We have no plan A or plan B. Zero plan and no way of looking like we can win any games without someone getting sent off or some lucky moments. Have we deserved to win any game this season???
The deluded nature of some our fans right now is mirrored by this board. We need Big Sam to get us out of this mess and stay in this league make no mistake.
The same people who don't think we are in a relegation fight are probably the same people that wanted Unsworth to keep the gig until the end of the season.........or christ, even longer......... This poor blind faith and lack of foresight is why we  have missed out on weeks of searching for a new manager

Barkley will be off as soon as he is fit, Coleman an Bolasie are both coming back from serious injuries so we don’t know how long it will take or even if they will get back to their best, and Mori is a liability anyway. So I wouldn’t put too much faith in the cavalry arriving to save the day

To talk about relegation in November is a little premature for me.
like others have said,if we won’t the next two games it all changes. We’re not even one of the worst teams at the moment, or we would’ve bottom. We’re not even in the relegation spots.
No one is deluded. I think all realise that if we keep this form up, it won’t be long before we are in a relegation fight. But at the moment some still believe that the players coming back will make a massive difference. I’m one of them.
I could easily be wrong, but there is no reason to call us deluded etc at the moment as we could also just as easily be right. Not that it matters who is right or wrong, only Everton matter.

I was all for getting Silva but with every Watford win and Everton this is less likely...The obvious candidate is available and wants the job. We need to get Big Sam in now.
There can be no snobbery from our fans in who we want as the next manager. We have no God given right to be in this league and we are no better than any of the other teams who have gone down, Villa, Leeds, Sunderland. We need someone to come in and sort this mess out...........
