  1. Well at least we'll go into Sunday full of confidence
  2. This is the first big dilemma for Unsworth I think, as we all seem to agree that he needs to maintain the building confidence, but not risk injury or burning out the older one like Jags and Baines in particular due to his requirement to get up and down the line. maybe go with a few changes that give a chance to see different pairings, say Klaassen in front of one of the DCM's, and pair DCL with Sandro up front. I would love Unsworth to be a success here, I hope the crowd get behind him and the team tomorrow. COYB
  3. Can I join in at this stage? Soton 1 Everton 3 Baines
  4. So do we bring Cleverly back,? he's been one of Watfords best midfielders this season
  5. I read at the weekend the average term for. PL manager is 13 months, so I'm not so sure that's a valid point, yes you would want to sign for a team with a manager you will get on with, but it's likely to change in the near future again.
  6. Yes this is right, soulless and just earning cash. i want Unsworth to get the job and to succeed as he is the opposite of Koeman, if not, then someone who has some passion, cos thats what football is all about for me.
  7. At least someone spotted the deliberate mistake !
  8. I just don't understand it really, if you pay to watch and support the team why leave early (maybe I'm just a masochist!) Sunday was th classic example, at least 6 people squeezed out past me after the 2nd Watford goal went in, if we had done that, we would have been thrashed, but a combination of the team getting stuck in and then the crown really getting behind them we got the result which could be the vital kick start we need.
  9. Thought he was excellent on Sunday, put some good hard tackles in at the start of the game on Richarlison, who was Watfords danger man, and a few decent crosses, really pleased for him after the swinging foot last weekend that went in for Leicester, he could have let his head drop but clearly hasn't. Probably the MOM in the first half.
  10. No, would seriously have to consider renewing my season ticket if he comes here, he's toxic
  11. I'd much rather we aim high for someone like Simione than trawl the depths of dross with fat Sam, hopefully it does show that all the crap about Sam being in the picture is all sky talk and rubbish.
  12. No no no no no and no to Allardyce, it's shows absolutely no desire to improve, it's got to be cheap journo crap.
  13. Agree with all of the above post Steve, particularly the last para
  14. Not me and I don't want him, it doesn't show enough ambition for the club.
  15. This for me, he will steady the ship but I don't think he is the man to take us forward. I would be happy with Unsworth and a good mentor to guide him at this level were aiming for, for a season or two, then he takes over fully.
  16. Spot on Shukes, they need to get used to playing together and hopefully some confidence.
  17. Romey, I get what your saying but yesterday seemed an all time low to me
  18. We were poor yesterday, the set up first half looked positive, something we've all been wanting - some width, but we were rippped apart by Vardy and Grays pace, at 2-0 we were always going to struggle. The team has lost all confidence, and look like a rabbit in the head lights at times. I lost count on the number of times 2 or even 3 players went for the same ball and failed to even win it, it was like watching pinball. The first goal came about because Baines failed to beat the first man with the free kick, which put us on the back foot, the same happened with his corners also, that never used to happen, another sign of loss of confidence? Should we have put Mirallas in to a second striker position and brought on Lookman, rather than using Niasse ? Kenny was unlucky with the 2nd goal, felt he recovered well and was OK, we've been asking for him for ages, we need to let him settle in to the team, I'll take him over Martina every day. williams and Jags tougher are just to slow, Holgate with Jags would have been my choice. Just hope the lads can bounce back and start getting some results starting hopefully on Thursday, but defiantly Sunday.
  19. I like the way he is speaking, it's very positive, forward thinking and team focused, he said many times it's not about him or any one player it's about the team, if he can get the team spirit going I think the results will follow.
  20. Just watched the press conference, thought he spoke really well, composed and talked about "us, the team, we" is what we need just now a leader who is a true team player. I really hope he does well, as fans we need to get behind the team, particularly at Goodison, on Sunday it felt as we were resigned to getting battered once again.
  21. Glad he's gone, and there's no sympathy from me, at £6m pa there's enough dough around the shit sandwich to make it taste OK. For us lesser mortals, yes loosing your jab sucks, but it's not the end of the world.
