  1. Possibly the first game this season that I felt we were going to win from the first few minutes in. We seemed to play the easy pass more often and not putting ourselves in trouble unnecessarily, apart from a couple of occasions, Mangalas under hit back pass being one of them. I felt we played more as a team unit, I even will go as far to say Martina had a good game, grenated he wasn't tested too much. The only player that looked uncomfortable for me was Keane, it took him well in to the second half to win a header, and his distribution was awful, rabbit in headlights springs to mind, he clearly is lacking confidence. Theo drives us forward at every opportunity and with menace, his link up play with both Coleman and Kenny was good and holds well for the future. Niasse ran his ass off, very unorthodox but caused Palace problems all the way through the game. Rooney, Gana and Davies ran the midfield well, probably our best option at the moment, and a good game from Siggy, he seems to be settling in OK now. Pickford was Pickford, solid and gives a feeling of confidence, his distribution was better then in recent weeks. Only dissapointment was not seeing Tosun getting some game time, yesterday was the ideal time to build his confidence after the third goal, we could have dropped Rooney or Davies deeper to play Ganas role at that stage. More of the same at Watford please
  2. Really? You'd be using a sub within the first 5 mins of every game on that basis
  3. Martina again? Holgate should be playing before Keane Niasse isn'tt good enough to be a starter, he's best an impact sub At least it's not Gana and Schniederlin if it's correct.
  4. Some interesting team selections there for tomorrow, but I think Sam throws 18 names in a hat and just tips them out on a table, hey preto ! There's the team and the formation for today lads ! Cant see any other logic in the way he selects so far
  5. Palfy, good points put well, thanks. i think I agree with you, but and it's a big but, Schniederlin has been such a big let down this season, he doesn't show any intent to make his mark on the game, he just seems to drift through it, passing sideways or backwards, and avoiding any real tackles. He looks like a totally different player to the one we bought when he first arrived, and it frustrates the hell out of me. As it stands I'd rather have Gana playing, yes he looses his position etc, but he does get stuck in and breaks up play, he's also won the ball back on a couple of occasions which have led to a goal ( Stoke first game of the season springs to mind) As most are saying it's a case of either playing one or the other but not both at the same time, It just doesn't work.
  6. Simple question for you Palfy and PeteO. Gana or Schniederlin, which one do you think is better for Everton?
  7. He is a deluded fool of a man. He thinks that he can change the team formation and the players around each game and expect them to be able to play together as a unit. Add to that he coats himself in an extra layer of teflon each day, to ensure that none of the blame sticks to him. If he had come out after the game yesterday and said " we'll I got that wrong" I'd possibly have some respect for him, but he's laying it 100% on the players after making changes and talking about being consistent. it all beggars belief, we need to get rid now, there's only one way he is taking the club, and it's the wrong way.
  8. Can we get Sam to stand on the touch line next week, and we can all give him a good kick up his fat arse, and out of the stadium forever.
  9. Nicely put, needed a bit of light relief after that 45 mins.
  10. If this result gets him sacked then it can only be a good one, how can th directors let this carry on and think it's OK, season ticket renewals came in the post last week, tell me why I should renew when we have a manager who sends a team out that looks like this? absolutely garbage
  11. Can't say I'm surprised at this team, but is a shite selection. Mate of mine is a big hammers fan, he told me Sam would destroy our club week by week, looks like he's completely right.
  12. Because it was my first reaction on reading the post, it comes over as being overly critical of Jon Joe, if you thought it was a balanced argument, why not be more positive towards his future capabilities rather than being critical of his first 20 or so games in the top flight. Could possibly have been put over in a less negative way.
  13. FFS are you expecting miracles in his first season? he's still learning his trade, and has had to do in a side totally lacking in confidence, he's been the one player who's shown a bit of spirit this season
  14. What was he doing on the right wing though ? Highlights on MOTD didn't show how he got there.
  15. First full house for me, wou,d have been happier with 2-0 though, squeaky bum time for the last 20 mins, first home game I've missed this season also as I'm full of flu, my wife and lad enjoyed it though!
  16. Sorry guys it's all Down to me, sat at home full of flu, first home game I've missed this season
  17. We got Sam who is doing a sterling job of ruining us !
  18. Will be very happy if this does happen, he's been useless for us this season.
  19. If that's the case, it's no different than when Unsworth was in place, other than he has had some form of job length contract, if what were told is correct. Either was we look at it were rudderless, spineless and hopeless at the moment
