  1. Glad he's gone, and there's no sympathy from me, at £6m pa there's enough dough around the shit sandwich to make it taste OK. For us lesser mortals, yes loosing your jab sucks, but it's not the end of the world.
  2. Yesterday was more than just a bad day at the office, it was the culmination of Koeman messing about with team selection and formation, the back 3 was he selected was never going to be able to hold firm against Arsenals speed and passing skills, they were waltzing through us immediately. If didn't change all game, the players are afraid of themselves and taking a shot, DCL gave his all, he will develop in to a good striker I think. ive not watched Sanchez live before, but having seen him yesterday he's a littlesh*t, he was telling the ref where we were to take our free kicks from and asking for a card at every tackle, how he didn't get a card himself baffles me, and the worst bit is we let him get away with it all game, a team with confidence wouldn't have let that happen. left the ground feeling totally disinterested, and will feel the same until Koeman goes. Can't say I'm enjoying my first year as season ticket holder.
  3. Pickford, stopped it from being a total whitewash, could have easily been 10 or more. DCL Arab his heart out and pressed forcing a few errors, Gana good energy and a few good tackles, then made his usual error of being on the wrong side and making a tackle. not a lot to be happy with, unless it gets Koeman out and quickly please.
  4. One trick pony? His delivery today was awful, first two free kicks didn't clear the first man, at other times Arsenal players breezed past him as if he wasn't there, slow to react, play passed him by, and he failed to put a foot in when needed, totally unimpressed with him so far
  5. I think that's exactly where we will be, I can't see any changes or improvement from Koeman in the way he is motivating and setting the team up, he looks like a defeated man, a stubborn one who won't do the decent thing and resign accepting he's got the whole process wrong here. I can understand people's concerns about Unsy being ready, but he's 44, not a kid, if he's ever going to be good enough to be a top manager, now is the time for him to do it imho
  6. At least he is consistently poor, not just for us.
  7. The only positive for me from yesterday is that it's definite Koeman isn't the right man, too stubborn, and doesn't see he is setting his starting line up wrong each game.
  8. He blew hot and cold yesterday for me, he made some awful errors, climbing over the back of Wood on a few occasions, poor passes out of defence, one awful attempted pass forward that ran straight out of play near the new of the game, he then pulled his shirt over his head, does he really think we can't see him if he does that, he's meant to be a grown man and leader, he's certainly not showing that in any way or form this season. Every time he had to chase a Burnley player he looked totally gassed after it. Then he made some good blocks and a couple of strong headers, and I could hear him shouting at the other players. I think he needs to be given a rest from the starting line up, get fit and get his head sorted, we may even be able to get some money back on him in January.
  9. To add to my post earlier on his effort in winning the ball back for his first goal, would Sandro have competed with the goalie the way he did to force th 2nd goal ? Yep he's rough but he seems to have the determination to make it work, not sure how much game time he's had in the two games, but 3 goals is a pretty god return when we're in desperate need of them. lets hope Koeman uses him to best effect.
  10. I'm impressed with his determination to win the ball back at the start of the move for his first, not sure we ever saw Rom do that. Certainly has a role to play for us at the moment.
  11. Baines, just ahead of Pickford. He was the only outfield player who kept trying to do something to get us back into the game. Pickford saved us from being totally embarrassed ?
  12. If we're going to struggle to score, and we are, we need to keep clean sheets, I just can't see it happening with this bloke. Holgate can defend, if not him let's give Kenny the opportunity to show what he can do.
  13. Poor on the first goal, but saved us from conceding at hatful. We lost all confidence after the first and defended naively from then on.
  14. Awful display today, we played very narrow, Spurs always had an outlet with both their full backs, I lost count on how many times they sprayed the ball out to Davies on the touchline, Martina was nowhere near him, Kane won every header and held up the ball well. We were OK up to the first goal, which looked like a misplaced cross, I thought we were going to give them a game, after that we fell apart and lost all confidence. 2nd half we were clapping the players for keeping the ball in play, that's about it. Williams, Martina and Klassen very poor, Sandro took some heavy knocks. like everyone else, I'm concerned on where we go from here.
  15. At least there's someone with worse team selection qualities than me then?
  16. Seamus is a rare example of how to behave, many other players should hang their heads in shame
  17. Me too, and I've got Joe Hart as sub, need to take him out deffo!
  18. I'm not impressed with Koemans after match statement, "we need a striker" that's been known since Lukaku left, Sandro was always an unknown prospect. He's now pretty much announced we're desperate, we're going to held to ransom over it. We should have bought an experienced CF early in the window with a view to offloading if Sandro and DCL are able to step up( which I think DCL will do, and much sooner than Sandro if he does at all on what we've seen so far) Dzeko or Giroud who may have second thoughts after Arsenals showing yesterday!
  19. Pickford for me, just pipped Rooney, made a composed and assured PL debut
  20. Shukes, you forgot Martina I'm thinking that they need a few more games together to show what Koemans looking for, Rooney seems too desperate to force an impact rather than it happening instinctively, Sandro has a lot of energy, needs to learn how to stay on his feet ( same as Barkley), Keane will settle in, and Pickford looks confident already and will continue to grow in stature. There's still something missing, I'll,be happy with Sigi for £40m or less, over that and we're being fleeced, and a big strong CF ( no not Deeney )
  21. We need to keep him, he brings pace in to the game which we need after watching the last two games.
  22. Ta. Mike, yep I'm nervous, but I think we'll get the job done tomorrow
  23. Happy to see it's on itv4, missed last weeks game. Any idea when the next round is? would like to take my lad to his first European game before school starts again and it gets too late for him.
  24. I'd be OK sending Ashley Williams back as part of the deal, he's not impressed me so far
