  1. Please leave now Sam, you have a reputation for shore up defences, really? Cos it's not being seen here. We have a team that give the ball away without being under pressure, do you not see it? A player who can't play left back, yet continually you play him,. A DM who doesn't want to tackle, and only passes the ball sideways or backwards. its just not good enough
  2. Errr No, hasn't done much at Bournemouth so far.
  3. I'd be happy with that, or at the very least Garbutt being in the senior squad
  4. Can't vote on this one it would be an oxymoron
  5. Spot on Shukes, boring and not winning, or even looking like we might win. Where would we have been if Unsy was still in charge?
  6. I think part of the mentality is that the players know we're so vulnerable on our left hand side. Martina is 100% liability and Siggy isn'tt a winger, let alone one who can provide cover for any full back. Spurs targeted our left side as any one would and killed us off. As others have said we were OK in the first half, second half we fell apart, same as we did against Man U ( a game we could have won IMO at half time) By being so unbalanced on the left, Siggy is not being played in his best position, and contributes very little. We need to get support closer to our CF, thumping the ball up from defence expecting Tosun/DCL/ anyone to be able to win the ball, hold off defenders and then create a chance is pure wishful thinking. Being unbalanced and having a manager who's focus is snatching a 1-0 win in every game doesn't sit well and is going to make the rest of the season a tough time, Sam is not the right man for us and I hope that he goes at the end of the season. Also many are saying Moshiri is a fault with everything, does he sanction every signing and team sheet selection? If not colpuld someone explain why a nd how he's at fault please.
  7. Yep I did that last year, rang up beforehand, they said I could do it on the day when I collected them, on collection I mentioned it, and the guy on the desk said don't bother it will be fine, couple of quid saved!
  8. No too injury prone, we've enough on the treatment table as it it.
  9. On,y if Ashley's going back as part of the deal for me, although he's been much better the past few games alongside Mason.
  10. Glad he's moved on, but would have liked it to be a sale not a loan, hasn't done anything for us for ages, other than shit stir.
  11. Jags, closely followed by Holgate, Kenny and Bolasise, and fully expect to name McCarthy soon, he's been excellent on his return the last two games.
  12. I thought so too early on, then he started to become a lot more involved and saw a lot more aggression and determination from him, just need to see more of that me thinks.
  13. I was lucky enough to be at the game last night, albeit in with the wrong crowd, we got tickets from a relative who holds a senior position in a major broadcaster. we were in the Dalglish stand, totally surrounded by home fans, I've never felt so uncomfortable in my life, not being able to vent my emotion, and hearing the vile abuse of everything Everton related, we got some dirty looks when we couldn't suppress a muted "get in" when Siggy equalised. It was brilliant hearing our supporters throughout the game while sitting with the home crown, but I so wished we could have been in with them. Liverpool were there for the taking last night, particularly after we equalised, Sam should have kept DCL on and gone two upfront, McCarthy and Bolasie were gassed and needed replacing. Niasse should have been covering the post when they scored, basic error. Martina was dreadful, he either gave the ball away, or failed to win his tackles, failed to put any crosses in. Rooney was stupid, early bad tackle made when no real pressure put him on thin ice for the rest of the game. Holgate clearly thought he had been verbally abused, on TV. Replay you can see how he responds when he hears whatever was said, clearly incensed, and if true, it will be interesting to see if as mention earlier how his teammates will respond.
  14. Suppose someone needs to take George Michaels singing parts
  15. spot on, I'm not even sure he will get much game time at any of the top 6 clubs he clearly thinks he should be playing for, not unless they want a player who slows attacks down, whilst turning round in circles.
  16. A full back who can use their left foot will be a start, while we have had to resort to Martina ( who frightens me every time he is near the ball he's so unpredictable) anyone who plays in front of him has had to spend more time covering him rather than playing their own game ( Siggy springs to mind) and it unbalances the team. Koemans failure to register Garbutt was a major error IMO, he would surely have provided a better balance to the side.
  17. That's from where he has his goals this season, but yeh your right, it's poor when we think he is good enough. its the best way we can use him though if we don't have an alternative
  18. Agree with all of the above bar Schniederlin, he's afraid of playing the ball forward and make far too many weak tackles at the moment, I know he's better but we're just not seeing it on the pitch. I loved McCarthys emerging and hard tackles, as teamwe need to do more and stop allowing the opposition time on the ball.
  19. Niasse isn'tt up to being the lone striker, he didn't win any aerial challenges last night, DCL wins significantly more, and brings other players into the game better. Neither are enough for us to push for a European place if played on their own, and I see Niasse as an impact sub rather than being in the starting 11.
  20. 2 points from 12, with virtually no shots on target, we would be calling for Koeman or Unsworth heads by now if they were still in position. He set us up yesterday to absorb all pressure and let Utd pass across the park, hopefully not allowing any through balls, first half work, they only had a couple of long range efforts, and I thought we were in with a chance of a victory, they didn't look that good to me. 2nd half they started to play through the lines better,, we failed to respond, with Rooney clearly struggling after being ill and needed replacing, Niasse just can't play the lone striker, McCarthy brought some bite into the side and we started to play more attacking but we're undone by some self inflicted errors, should have played 2 up front once were we're behind, keeping Niasse on and Schniederlin instead.
  21. We make it far too easy for teams to play against us, as we let them pass across their lines without putting any real tackles in. mcCarthys introduction brought our first string of aggressive but fair tackles this season ( Gana TBF has won a few but not particularly strong) if we're letting teams do that, it's all,too easy for them to know they can move the ball around without any real challenges coming in. There must have been at least 10 half arsed challenges from Keane and Schniederlin last night that failed to win the ball. Yes we will get some yellows, it I'd rather one for a touch tackle, than the inevitable trips were end up making as we're chasing the ball ( Keane bottled out of a tackle which led to Rooney booking if remember right) If fit McCarthy has to be a starter on Friday.
  22. If you don't shoot, you don't score, simples really. Totally agree TP, I'd rather we had more shots that an attack breaking down because we over play, or decide to go backwards, which we seem to be the PL,s experts in doing this year.
