  1. This is a key factor, plus the lack of prem experience, whilst I don’t dislike them I’d like to see them drop down as it’s a horrible model they have used imo.
  2. They are getting better each game, from those clips they look very assertive in winning the ball, and actually clearing the danger.
  3. And it’s Goodison under the lights, let’s make it a horrible place for them to come to, we did it a Southampton with low numbers, a full Goodison is going to be fantastic, I can’t wait.
  4. He writes/speaks as if he has two brains operating at the same time, with each set of words being put out and competing with each other for attention, totally nonsensical……..known as utter shite in the real world.
  5. Such a Hugh turn around from last season, I think we need to add Pickford as a key contributor, he’s made some fantastic and vital saves this season, and Begovic when called upon.
  6. I hope he does stay based on what he’s done so far, and it seems that he is enjoying his time here, which will be in our favour.
  7. I’ve only been able to see the highlights posted by Matt, so Pickford gets my vote for two outstanding saves that ensured we got the three points.
  8. Thanks Matt, I’ve enjoyed watching those clips, I’m away and missed MOTD, Pickford really made sure we got the three points with two outstanding saves.
  9. I think there’s more to come, he was very good for Burnley the season before last, not so last one, he’s lacking confidence, which he showed lots of in his breakout season, hopefully the goal will be the spark he needs.
  10. Listen to the game on the club feed, bloody hell, Darren and Diamond really make me nervous listening to their commentary, they made it sound like we were going to concede for the last 25 mins. Clearly not a great game, but an important 3 points and another game unbeaten.
  11. I wish him well, always seemed committed to the cause, and have some good performances.
  12. What makes you think I had anything to do with it
  13. That’s not how I see it, previously he half heartedly tackled, ran like a crab sideways across the pitch, didn’t make good passes, to me he’s now the opposite which is all good.
  14. And so can you, ( I know, and I know you can take it )
  15. Sorry I thought you were up for a mock argument!
  16. I was of the same opinion, and I dont think there were many who were happy with him until Frank arrived and it all changed. I remember at Brentford cup game when Frank brought him on as a late sub, there was a bloke at the back of the top balcony shouting in a very pained voice, “nooooo Frank not Iwobi” most were laughing in agreement. Also when Carlo was here Iwobi said that he needed to be played in his best position but it never happened, my reps once was “ not at Everton”. He does need to chip in with more goals, as do all the squad atm, but his play to create the assist on Sunday was lovely to watch, it’s all down to him, long may it continue.
  17. Agreed, I’ve made my vote, but wouldn’t argue with anyone else choice either.
  18. He certainly offers something different to Dom up front, I don’t think Dom would have tried that shot, I’d like to see if we’re able to get them together as a pairing. I like his post match interview also, seems to get us, and knows if he does the bis, he will be loved by the fans.
  19. Just said the same in the Coady thread, the picture looks like a big brother looking after his younger kid brother
  20. I wasn’t overly impressed with him in a back 3/5 in the first couple of games, however in the past two the pairing with Tarks is looking good, they seem to have a good understanding between them, there was one bit of action yesterday , Coady took a hit off one of the West Ham players ( Antonio I think), Tarks came in and gave him a subtle kick when winning the ball back, it was like a big brother looking after his younger kid, “you pick on him and you’ll have me to deal with” stuff. That’s something I’ve not seen here for ages and was needed, we’ve been too passive.
  21. I thought he was brilliant yesterday, read the game well, tackled, good passes, cool under pressure, where was all the headless chicken stuff we were promised we would get again.
  22. It’s amazing how he has become such an important player for us under Frank, I watched him closely yesterday, he was looking around all the time, looking at our shape and where he needed to be, or where there were opportunities, it’s a yes to contract extension from me.
