Horrible game from us to watch, we couldn’t put two passes together for most of the game, occasional flashes of some decent stuff. Nothing seemed to drop our way, probably because we’re panicking a lot. Plus points, 3rd PL,game undefeated, and with a CF ( hopefully ) we will see improvement.

Putting all the Maupay stuff to one side, it’s frightening that our bench is so poor/ inexperienced after only 4 games in. Hopefully grab something tonight and have a busy two days bring in and clearing some out.

Definitely not a good move for us, we’ve just managed to move Dele on after throwing him a lifeline that he couldn’t grab hold of, no reason to think it would be any different with Ross.

We clung on for a point, only positive is that it’s more than we came away with last year I’m not sure Coady and Tarkovski work well together, Tarks was excellent against Chelsea, but last week and yesterday looked clumsy, I wonder if it’s too many leaders now. I don’t like the 2 in midfield, hopefully that will change with Maupay arriving.

Agreed. It’s a shame he’s fallen so far off his best, however I will always be thankful for his 45 mins against Palace.

I’ve been thinking the same myself, but didn’t want to get slaughtered for saying it on here He has shown a decent touch in opponents box before and surely could hold the ball up a bit, not sure of his closing down capabilities though.

If the deal being touted is correct we would be crazy not to accept, yes there’s potential with him, but he’s shown the last three games it’s some way off, soft or shots straight at the keeper, and runs into too many dead ends. I’ll trust Frank and his team to get the money and use it wisely.

I think he had a major culture shock yesterday, caught in possession early on and booked, caused him to shrink back, plus after his attempt to rugby tackle, none of his team mates seemed to have any trust in him and didn’t pass the ball to him. It looked at bit like he was doing a Besic on his first hime game vs Chelsea. A start against Fleetwood should do him some good and help with his fitness.

I thought we played really well on the first 15-20 mins and should have been 2 up, of we had been more clinical or had an agile CF. We don’t and weren’t able to keep up the pressure, allowing them back into the game. Rondon clearly can only play 45-60 mins max on his ageing legs, but we looked a worse shape once he left the pitch, if we don’t have a new CF by next weekend I’d rather see Keane on as a CF than Gray, Gordon or McNeils attempts to do so. Onana’’s time showed why it’s wrong to expect every new signing to come in and be a star, after his early errors the rest of the team stopped trusting him and didn’t pass to him at all. Its a relief to get a point, should have been three, but we really need to address the CF position this week, and with one who can come in straight away and hit the ground running.

Iwobi, more desire on his own than the other 10. Made a few mistakes but that’s to be expected when he’s trying to open up defences.

This could be a tough game imo, hopefully they will be a dysfunctional bunch will all their additions. Happy to see we have a CF starting even if it is Rondón, our shape will be better. COYB
