  1. And therein lies the problem, never fit enough to play regularly.
  2. Every transfer is a gamble, many thought Gomes for £30m was a steal at the time, his cost per game is high, his cost per good game is huge, his cost to bad results is huge. On a free Tarkowski is a good deal, costing wages only, if he looses his edge we can move on for a low fee if needed.
  3. Given our financial situation I don’t see him being sold this window, unless we do get significantly more than we paid for him, but I’d like to see him under Frank without the baggage of this season and injury free to see if he can improve as Iwobi has shown is possible.
  4. Happy to say I was one of those men, ended up looking like a smurf from all the blue smoke dust, and whilst it was an awful position to get our selves in, Thursday will stay in my memory and heart forever
  5. I think most of us have said it before, the more we talk to others about any mental problems we have helps, and reduces the stigma on having such issues, cos we all do at times.
  6. From us , yes after yesterday’s outcomethey will try and fleece us, and they would probably want a similar price from other clubs as we would get for Pickford
  7. I’d be happy with this, Frank doesn’t have that much experience as a manager yet, but does come across as a decent bloke, and was a great player, I think that he could good in bringing in some young ambitious players who would want to play under him. I would like to see us keep a framework of key players Pickford, Richie, DCL, and add to them with a mix of above, plus a couple of experienced Tarkovski springs to mind, players to help bind the team over the next couple of season.
  8. Thanks to Cornish for doing all the hard work once again, congrats to Palfy, and I guess my performance is like the team, “could do better” Looking forward to posting my first prediction in August again.
  9. It certainly makes financial sense, he’s 30 in November so a 2 year deal and use him in the knowledge it’s part of the rebuild and he won’t be here too long.
  10. Keeping a positive attitude is hard but important in dealing with the shit that life throws at us, I hope that things will work out well for you. I’m not a religious person in any shape or form, but I’ve no issues with anyone who id, as long as they don’t force it on me, I make my choice, you make yours and respect each other’s.
  11. It’s brilliant, I’ve finally managed to get back a decent sleep pattern, since the Brentford games I was waking early every morning and thinking of what would happen.
  12. Richie is better at finishing when he doesn’t have time to think, it’s all instinctive, give him too much time and he seems to become undecided and fluffs the chance.
  13. Me too, and it would add to our list giving us 3-4 of the top 5 unlikeables
  14. Didn’t Leeds have some dodgy finance issues when they were owned by the Italian bloke ( Massimo or something like that ) a few years back ? Bunch of arse wipes
  15. Good to hear your feeling better, from my experience of seeing my wife having regular bouts of anxiety and depression brought on primarily by work, being able to talk about it is one of the best but hardest things to do, the more we take away any stigma of mental health issues will help others. It’s so wrong that there is a stigma about it, if someone has a physical health issue there’s no stigma attached, mental health should be exactly the same.
  16. Quality player, one for Frank to use his persuasive skills
  17. Just been browsing a Burnley forum to see their reaction to last night and saw this, as many will be having a day off today let’s do ours, interesting to see we do well in many of their top 5 Here’s mine 1 Fernades - constant whinging 2 Robertson - narky little git imo 3 Hwang - for all the faking injury ans time wasting at Goodison 4 VVD - purely for the smoke that everyone blows up his arse, yes he’s good but they make him out to be superhuman. 5 Rondon - cos we had to put up with him for so long ( ok a bit tonge in cheek )
  18. Still high on the excitement of last night, but here’s my thoughts knowing we don’t have huge amount of money to play with. Frank builds his squad around Pickford, Mykolenko, Alli, Richy, DCL, Gordon Iwobi Players to keep but need to see more Patterson, Godfrey, Branthwaite, Davies, Gray, Players to keep but see less of Coleman - purely to mentor the younger players Never want to see them in an Everton Shirt again. Gomes - last night proof if ever needed Delph - Thanks for the past few games, but we need players who are fit more often than not. Mina - Fitness always a concern, need a CB who plays week on week out with his partner. Rondon - no just no. Gbamin - unlucky never worked for him Kean - Wrong attitude Allan - Has had some good moments but legs have gone, need players with 90 mins energy. If they go they go can be replaced JJK - squad player at best who can play a few positions when needed. Keane - not mobile enough, has been good last few games, could form good partnership with more athletic CB Holgate - has improved under Frank, seems to have lost the arrogant attitude leading to mistakes. Doucoure - Awful at times, brilliant at others the former seems to be more frequent. Townsend - Gave some memorable moments, and some games passed him by, doubt we will get any money for him after his injury. On loan players DVB - haven’t seen enough, doubt he will want stay anyhow El Ghazi - who?
  19. That’s exactly how I felt when he came out, particularly as he was the only o e to do so, really hope I’m wrong. What I did love about it was that one of the security blokes ( in a grey suit) kept trying to coral him in the police/security cordon, Richy was having none of it, he went where he wanted, maybe, just maybe he wanted to show his appreciation of the love and support he gets here, having put so much effort in trying to keep the team up.
  20. Dele, his confidence and ease on the ball gave us so much more control which was severely lacking in the first half, closely run by Keane, Richy, DCL, Holgate, Pickford and Iwobi. So so happy this morning
  21. Bit surprised Allan only on bench other than that as I hoped, Gomes needs to step up his game. Gallagher not starting pleases me.
